Alison's Journey Alison Curtis suffered from a seizure and it was discovered she had a brain tumor, This page is to follow her journey to recovery. We love you all.

My sister, Alison Curtis is a 17 year old senior at Ballston Spa High School in Ballston Spa, New York. On Thursday, October 22nd, 2015 she suffered a grand mal seizure at home. Our mother, Lori Curtis, luckily heard her and went to her rescue. She was brought to Saratoga Hosptial where a CT scan showed she had a mass on her brain. She was then transferred to Albany Medical PICU. After an MRI showed a tumor on her right frontal lobe, it was decided she needed major brain surgery. The procedure was performed on Tuesday, October 27th, 2015. I have created this page to keep our family, friends and loved ones up to date with her procedures and recovery. Much of our day is spent helping Alison adjust. We have been trying our best to get personal updates to all, but we are quite frankly exhausted. Please bear with us and check this page for updates. Our family can not thank everybody for their love, support and prayers. Please continue to pray for Alison and keep her in your thoughts.

A true inspiration for anyone that is going through such an experience. I am as your mother most grateful to have been part of your journey and plan to continue on this path forever with you. Life is not promised but you keep on growing stronger every day.

Another year has passed and Alison has triumphantly cleared her last yearly MRI. With no changes, she's nearing a decade of victory over her challenges and will now shift to biennial scans, a testament to her strength! Congratulations to my baby girl, you're a shining star. I love you so much❤️

Nine years ago today we waited for the next day for surgery as my daughter Alison Curtis demonstrated unparalleled resilience at Albany Medical Center, facing a brain tumor diagnosis with courage. Through the power of prayer, family, and friends, she conquered this challenge. Every day, I marvel at her remarkable progress, fueled by her unwavering determination. It’s been 8 years today that we found out Alison had a brain tumor. I’m so thankful for everyday . I continue to pray that there’s no recurrence and that she lives a wonderful long and healthy life. ❤️🙏🏼
