Iโve been on an anti depressant for postpartum depression for about 3 years now and between just January through March alone, I was sick about 5 times.
Today, I am 3 weeks into this 4 week program focused on gut health and it has NOT been perfect by ANY means but I am so thankful I gave it a shot and pushed through even when I was ready to quit the second day inโฆ legit. Being addicted to added sugars and mindful of not eating my kids Easter candy every chance I got = hardddddd!
BUT I didnโt.
Today, I am officially 1 week off of my anti-depressant and I actually WANT to get out of bed without it!
I literally canโt put into words how good it feels to actually WANT to still do things besides mope in bed with low energy and brain fog WITHOUT a pill (PTSD from my past addiction maybe but for me personally, I hate relying on medications to be ok).
I also havenโt been sick in a month (knock on wood) DESPITE my little petri dishes and niece coughing all up in my face every chance they got!
AND I have barely taken any ibuprofen which because of my adenomyosis that is something I live off of every time I ovulate or bleed.
ALLL to say, this gut life is real. Iโve heard about it, saw it, read about it but always thought F that. I like my food, desserts and occasional drinkโฆ BUT because I am a Coach and this job legit keeps me onward to feel my best in all areas of my lifeโฆ I did it even though I was freaking scared I wasnโt going to be able to follow through.
Long rant short, I may not have jumped ahead of the six pack game I came in aiming to beat my husband at BUT I literally canโt put into words how good it feels to be free of medication and to feel like ME again.
