Free gifts that keep on giving, over and over and over again!

Thanks to a family in our local area Buy Nothing group, we were able to secure a large basket of children's books that are in great condition to donate to Boofy's Best for Pets Boofy's Best for Pets last night.

Did you know that B2 even had a free library inside their store? Take a book, leave a book. Take a book and gift it or read it and there's no need to return it if you want to keep it. No longer need it, bring it back or drop it off in someone else's free library. They are all over town.

Do you have a bunch of books, or even cookbooks too, that you would like donated to a free library? We can help you find one in your area or if we are available we are willing to meet you and we will sprinkle our book fairy goodness all over town.

The senior rec centers and skilled nursing/long term care facilities love to receive books and magazines for their patients. Trust me, I know. I spent over 6 months this year in one for OT PT therapy and nursing care from the accident last December 30th.

We aren't ready to open yet, but we are still doing community volunteer work in the background. Don't forget about the almost $2,000 that was raised for 6 animal non-profit organizations at Howl & Growl this year with a totally unplanned, unexpected, winter shave fundraiser at HAG. Mama Shay and Lisa (one of Boofy's owners) shaved their heads for cancer. One of Lisa's kitties, Carol Brown, had just passed away from cancer. Plus, my pop's had prostate cancer when he recently passed away. It wasn't what killed him, but it sure AF didn't help his other conditions that led to his death.

We just wanted to say hello and send our love to the Tía-Mom's Cocina and Boofy's Best For Pets familias and to those that reached out while I've been down and out for a year. No clue on a time frame of reopening, but I gotta heal and function before that's even considered.

Happy Holidays no matter what holiday you do or don't celebrate. Please always choose compassion before anger. Understanding before accusing. Help others when possible, whether people are looking or not, and without expecting blessings or good karma in return. Just be a kinder human to all living creatures.

BECAUSE CANCER SUCKS! In conjunction with Howl & Growl 2025 Halloween Fun for Pets & People (Boofy's Best for Pets on Golf Course)], we're honoring the life of the late, great Carol Brown with a special challenge to raise funds for seven local animal-related nonprofits:

Albuquerque Animal Welfare (Kennel Kompadres), FAT KATZ, Paws to People, Pawsitive Life Rescue of NM, Safe Place Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, Second Chance Animal Rescue, Inc., New Mexico, and Street Cat HUB Inc..

If we raise $700 in donations by 4pm on Sunday, Oct. 26th, Lisa from Boofy's Best for Pets will shave her head! If we raise $1000, Mama Shay
(representing Tía-Mom's Cocina) will shave her head too!

On July 31, 2025, at 2:33 a.m., our beloved patriarch—my mother’s father and our cherished Tata GG, Great Grandfather, Uncle, Brother, and Husband — Gary G. Sullivan, completed his final Tour of Duty and completed his last Watch on this Earth.

Our family is heartbroken by the loss of such a profoundly generous, loving, and honorable man. A Retired U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, former Oregon Police Officer, and dedicated City Councilman, Tata GG lived a life of unwavering service—to his country, his community, and most of all, to his family.

He fought with the same strength and courage in his final moments as he did throughout his life. His sacrifice was immense, and his absence leaves a void that can never truly be filled.

If you feel called to support us as we prepare to return to Oregon in November to honor his life and legacy at his Celebration of Life and Memorial Services, any contribution would mean the world to our family.

¡Buenos Dias everyone! Andelya here.

Quick update on my mom. It's been two months since the injuries happened and she still needs 24/7 care.

Many of you have reached out to us sending love and healing vibes to us and we thank you. Many have sent her vegan groceries to the facility since they lack vegan foods with full nutritional needs for one to heal. So extra thank you's to those that have helped us too.

As of right now it appears she might need a couple more months of rehab care for physical therapy to fully heal and have proper movement again. The bone fractures haven't fully healed yet and the pain is a real struggle daily.

So as long as she is out of commission I must stay focused on her health and well being and we aren't able to open TMC yet, but we will be opening again soon.

So please keep sending your healing wishes, positive vibes and prayers for her to have a full recovery. Thank you for always loving our little vegan cottage bakery,

This cake hasn't ever been posted on any of our pages before because it was made back on January 15, 2021, for our beautiful friend, Yvonne, almost 6 months before TMC came to fruition. Since we are laid up in bed for a few months she granted us permission to share it.

Welcome to our adult version of

This was a triple layer, 9 inch round, vanilla cake with a hole down the middle for the peanut germs. Smothered in whipped milk chocolate buttercream, toasted coconut, mini peanut butter cups, caramel dipped squares, and homemade praline sauce.

This cake gave us an honest reality check of how expensive cakes can cost before labor pricing goes into it. Mind you, this was a gift so we didn't care about the cost, but this delicious baby did cost a few pretty pennies. But you can't and shouldn't put a price tag on love and friendship!!!

Happy birthday, Yvonne!!!! You know that if we weren't down and out right now, you would be getting your favorite German chocolate cake. Oh yeah, this was the first cake that Anabel ate WITH frosting on it and loved it. She's a no-go frosting person unless it's our frosting.

Good evening, everyone! We have tried to respond to everyone's messages in a timely manner so if your message has not been replied to yet in a timely manner, please accept our apologies. We are working on them.

Now, on to better things! You, you, and you over there helped us raise a final total of $600 for Second Chance Animal Rescue, Inc., New Mexico, for our 5TH ANNUAL FUDGE-RAISING FESTIVAL FOR 2024. Unfortunately, due to a major set back on December 30th, we had to stop accepting orders, refund a few orders which did reduce the donation amount from approx $775 to $600.

HOWEVER, this year's $600 was doubled from last year's donation amount. Which never could have been completed without YOU! PLUS, SINCE 2020 & basically during only the month of December each year YOU have contributed to have raised and donated a grand total of $9,309 for other rescues and sanctuaries during these past 5 years of Fudge-Raising Festival Event.

Thank you, NM, for donating. Thank you, Second Chance Animal Rescue, Inc., New Mexico , for the hard life saving work you do for the animals.
