Artist alert!

A few weeks ago, I shared photos from the pottery hand building workshops I hosted at local senior living communities, and the finished pieces are in!

The goal was to teach something new while bringing people together. It was a lot of great conversations, lots of laughter, and some truly amazing artwork.

It’s never too late to learn, create, and connect.

Not long ago, someone asked me for help with a situation that wasn’t technically part of my job. Instead of saying no, I tried to help them find someone who could.

It’s taken time and patience, and it’s still unfolding, but if this were my own family member, I’d want every possible door opened for them.

At the end of the day, this work is about treating others the way we’d want our own families treated.

*pictured is someone I love dearly, my always stylish grandma (Emmy)

Last year, I started volunteering with Breakthrough T1D to help launch a Type 1 diabetes support group here in New Mexico. There was a lot of learning along the way, but we wrapped up the year with a full room, (kids making new friends and adults sharing experiences and helpful information).

Our first Family Support Connection Group meeting of 2026 is happening this month, and I’m really excited to keep this community growing.

If you know a family affected by Type 1 diabetes who might be interested, please feel free to share this with them. Link to register below.

Connect with families living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) Jan 25, 1-2:30pm, and join an open discussion on staying active with T1D with our special guest Melanie Duran, DNP, FNP, CDCES - Diabetes Specialist at UNM.

A big part of my work scheduling healthcare appointments is spending time with the 65+ community. One thing I hear often is how meaningful it is to connect with others, create, and feel engaged.

To share what I do and get to know residents better, I recently hosted hand building pottery sessions at several communities. Pottery has been such a positive outlet for me, both emotionally and socially, and it was really special to see others enjoy that same creative space.

Supporting health isn’t just about doctor’s visits, it’s about community too.

If you’re part of a senior community or know someone who could benefit from extra support navigating healthcare, feel free to reach out.

If you’re curious about taking a pottery class at an amazing studio, check out Burque Throwdown in downtown ABQ who generously donated clay/supplies for my sessions.

I have a history of making over zealous New Year's resolutions. One’s that are hard to stick to and easy to fail. This year’s goal is simple. Be kinder. To my loved ones, friends, and myself. Happy 2026 y’all and I hope it's an easy one.

This holiday weekend was a super relaxing treat needed before the final month of 2025. It's going to be a good one.

**Also check out this awesome tree I found on Craigslist. Best $30 purchase I've made in a while.

Running a healthcare appointment scheduling business isn't easy but what keeps me going is knowing I'm helping people take control of their health.

Helping people live healthier, less stressful lives is my motivation and it's an honor to be a resource for people.

October was hectic, but one of my favorite highlights from last month was attending the New Mexico Conference on Aging. It was an event focused on resources and free activities available to the 65+ community. I met so many kind people focused on improving the lives of others in their community and can't wait for next year's event.

“Have some fruit and a piece of cheese.”

This was the response my mom would give us when we would whine about wanting a snack. Not an exciting snack choice for kids but as an adult I see how that regular reminder to have a healthy snack is a good dietary habit that can cause a bigger impact.

Choosing water over soda, adding an extra serving of veggies at dinner or reaching for fruit instead of/or with a smaller portion of chips.

Nutrition plays a huge role in how we age, and simple, consistent choices support energy, heart health, and longevity.

Running a healthcare appointment scheduling business means no two days are the same.

Some days I’m on the phone with doctors’ offices, other days I’m at a health fair or cold calling from a study room at my favorite local library branch.

The one thing that stays the same everyday is knowing that I’m taking stress off of someone else’s plate by managing their healthcare appointments and prescriptions for them.

If you know someone who is dealing with healthcare stress I may be able to help.
