I have emailed the first round of invitations for the Hand Made Market Artistic Artifacts . The second round of invitations will be sent out August 31st. You can comment on this post if you would like to participate in the market this year, and be put on the wait list.

The market will be October 13 and 14, with set up on the 12th.

When starts making these shears again, jump on it! My friend .14 and I chopped up 75 feet of 18ga guiding copper in no time! Right off the roll! The shear just kept cutting that spring hard copper like it was lunch. Took no time at all! What a work horse!

The prompt today was "best decision yet". I think that putting the time in to develop this multifaceted purple kiln fired enamel on fine silver technique was right up there. This pair of earrings was gone in 90 seconds after I put them on display today. I was trying to hold back some pieces for my website. Well that didn't work out well did it? These earrings have some some cousins at at the in Virginia.

It was my honor and privilege to lead a painting class this evening for the family members of TAPS. Such an amazing organization. Thank you for allowing me to participate. I have no idea how many people but the ball room was nearly full when I finished. Was it perfect? Nope. I think I would have been Disappointed if it had been. Don't let them steal your sparkle. They are not worthy and deserve no emotional energy from you. Put that power into what really matters.

Before I get questions, this is a layered pic. It started as a piece of enamel wall art that I removed the background and layered on another. I really just wanted a PSA for today in case anyone was having trouble getting out of their head. Stay strong my friends. 💔

Dropped these purple beauties at the Torpedo Factorty Artists at Mosaic District last week. 1" dia fine silver with that gorgeous glass enamel. Kiln fired to bring out all drama at 1500°.

Went to the gem show today. Bought 14 stones and some Q. It was really empty of vendors at the show. My one dependable vendor was there and saved me. The BBQ on the other hand, never disappoints. in Chantilly VA.

Sometimes I just take a pic of the enamel I used on a piece then I go back and add the details. I was cleaning up after an enameling session and just looked at what was out. This is only a partial pile. I don't know if I am a wild woman, but this makes it look like I am. 🤣

The second pic is the tortise shell from yesterday. When tilted just right, all of the depth from the glass just vanishes and I get to see this interesting effect. If you look hard you can see the blue I risked on it.

I was one of the instructors for an enameling workshop sponsored by the Enamelists Guild this weekend. These are just a few of the examples of things we learned to enamel. I don't have any finished pieces to show you, because I forgot to take pics. Everyone did a great job and managed to master the most complex shapes before leaving. It was a fun group and I want to thank .paulson.artist for putting the event together. I was really proud of how much skill each participant gained while there. Thank you for having me!
