We’re moving to a new home! 🏡

Shanthi Project is pleased to announce a new partnership with Connexions Gallery to establish a hub for community workshops and gatherings. Beginning May 1st, we will move our primary operations to the beautiful gallery space located at 213 Northampton Street in downtown Easton.

This partnership marks a significant expansion for Shanthi Project, providing dedicated access to both an indoor gallery space and a serene, sizable outdoor courtyard. The collaboration will also allow Shanthi Project to explore new, integrated programming that connects the practice of mindfulness with the transformative power of visual art.

Please note that while we are excited to be part of the Connexions community, our workshops and gatherings will primarily be hosted on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. We invite you to visit our website (ShanthiProject.org/events) to view our full schedule and join us for an upcoming session, and we look forward to seeing you at Connexions Gallery soon!

Another feel-good post! ☀️ As the school year winds down, our instructors are beginning to wrap up their in-class mindfulness programming. For weeks, we've been teaching children how to cultivate self-awareness, exercise compassion for themselves and others, manage anxiety, and lots more.

Now, Shanthi instructor Jessie has taken sweet pics with some of her students. Their mindfulness sessions may have ended, but the social and emotional skills they've learned will stay with them!

Since 2024, Shanthi Project has brought "Bridge to Middle School" programming to fifth grade classrooms around the Lehigh Valley. An adaptation of our Calm+Kind+Focused curriculum, this program helps students prepare for transitioning out of elementary school—teaching them skills to cope with change and stress, process strong emotions, and nurture healthy peer relationships.

The pictures below are from a recent lesson about gratitude with our Bridge to Middle School fifth graders! They were instructed to spend one minute drawing or writing what they're grateful for. As Shanthi instructor Annie shared, "the students were very mindful in this practice of writing or drawing their gratitudes." So sweet!

Big thanks to Shanthi instructor Jessie for capturing these sweet photos of her mindfulness students.

In some classrooms, our sessions are already coming to an end... but evidence shows that social and emotional skills have real staying power! Even after our instructors say goodbye, these students (and their teachers) will continue to build on their new foundation of mindfulness. We already can't wait to see them again!

This is your reminder that our next Qigong workshop is just TWO days away... so if you haven't signed up yet, now's the time!

Qigong is a traditional Chinese practice that can help calm your nervous system, support physical health, and encourage connection within your body. Shanthi instructor Jocelyn has experienced the benefits herself — now, she's looking forward to sharing them with you!

To learn more about this upcoming workshop, visit ShanthiProject.org/events. There, you can see our full calendar of programming and RSVP for Wednesday's Qigong class.

Our Story

TEACHING SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL RESILIENCY THROUGH THE PRACTICE OF MINDFULNESS.

Shanthi Project is a 501(c)(3) education nonprofit providing evidence-based mindfulness services to more than 4,000 children and adults annually across the Greater Lehigh Valley and New Jersey. Committed for more than a decade to education and advocacy, we are an established agency in the Trauma-Informed Education Movement, and the local authority on building resilience in an increasingly complex 21st-century world.

We offer the benefits of mindfulness, which increase mind-body self-awareness, reduce stress and improve focus. Our work promotes positive emotions that help others learn important skills to establish, or re-establish, healthier and more productive relationships at home, school, work, and within their communities.

We are led by passionate individuals and a team of certified teachers who are trusted by a variety of community partners in Lehigh County and Northampton County, Pennsylvania, as well as Warren County, New Jersey. During the 2019-2020 school year, Shanthi Project worked with 44 schools in 10 districts, teaching 4,000 students in 168 classrooms, and supporting more than 250 teachers and support staff throughout the area.
