THERE IS A GIFT IN TRUST AND SURRENDER...

Last year, I was in Colombia celebrating my birthday while experiencing a miscarriage... my 6th one. I constantly worked to stay positive even though the outcome was not reflecting what I desired. Truthfully, I struggled with the concept of giving up and feeling like a failure!

Until I had to learn the difference between "giving up" and surrendering. Most religions discuss the power and importance of surrender but I honestly don't think most of us really know what it means to actually surrender. NO JUDGMENT!

I found myself at that place! I had dreams telling me to "TRUST AND SURRENDER" with no clear direction or where to begin. I decided that having another baby was going to be the place I start.

While in Colombia, I was privileged to meet the Healer of Palenque. I explained to him about my pregnancy losses and trauma. He looked me up and down and said "Your organs are weak" and gave me some medicine to take with me. A true spiritual medicinal healer!

When I got back, I took it and I started acupuncture. Well, when I went in to see the acupuncturist, she did her assessment using my wrists and hands and said "Your organs are weak, specifically your liver."

WELL, ONE THING WAS CERTAIN... the two of them definitely had not spoken to one another. So, OKAY GOD, I'm listening!

The acupuncturist gave me medicine weekly and I went to her for 3 months before she went back to China to visit her family in December. By then, I had grown weary and decided to lean in. I decided to get rid of all of the baby items I had saved from my son's birth. I was done trying and whatever happened next would just be.

And do we did! It was painful and I cried so much. But it wasn't me giving up, it was me surrendering. It felt different! There wasn't any more weight I was carrying.

The following month we traveled to Arizona for vacation only for my cycle to not come... and almost nine months later now, it has yet to return.

We will meet our baby girl in a few weeks 💕 So you see, we didn't need the items from my son, they were just taking up space! I had to release the control to allow acceptance, TRUST AND SURRENDER!

My folks drove and flew in from all over the country. The love is so real! Shout out to our family and friends for showing up and showing out... always!!!

WHEN SPIRIT MOVES YOU...

I have been extremely vocal about my history of pregnancy losses along our journey.

This is because it can feel so lonely!

And I don't want others to feel alone.

I have questioned my relationship with the Creator, my level of deserving, and if I was doing something "wrong" along the journey.

I have questioned why it has been so easy for others and so difficult for me.

I have questioned my womanhood and wholeness as a woman.

Yet, I am here now!

What I have come to understand is that everything is always working in our favor and SPIRIT MOVES and moves us at the right time, even if it doesn't always feel that way.

We had released the idea of being able to have another baby and within the month of doing so, my cycle didn't come.

Not in my time, not on my schedule, not when I planned but at the right time.

And that is life!

You may be waiting and beating yourself up or questioning your relationship with the Creator or Spirit at this exact moment but I want to assure you that everything is always happening in your favor!

MIRACLES HAPPEN EVERYDAY!

We can't wait to meet you little one 💕

WORK-LIFE-WELLNESS BALANCE IS A THING!!! 😏

At least for me, it is!

If you have ever been on a Zoom call with me, I may have looked extremely professional to your eyes...

However, this is probably what was happening right at my feet under my desk.

You see, I have rules for my baby when I'm in meetings...

1) He is entitled to have a hug anytime he wants one.

2) He is allowed to say hello to whomever I am meeting with one time.

3) Mommy is always your mommy, so if you need me, I am here!

I'm sure this is not what you expected me to say.

I'm sure you have altered your life, tried to hide your children, probably got annoyed when other people's children come on screen or expect everyone to have strict boundaries with their family even if they are home.

Or maybe that is what has been expected of you!

How frustrating! And unreal!

Children are children!

The expectation to act as if they do not exist is unreal.

It's like being outside and wondering why an insect has landed on you or why a lizard is running near you.

They are in their habitat and doing what they do!
