Last week we practiced connection.

Sometimes it can feel hard to connect to others because we're holding onto something that get's in the way. This could be a past hurt or disappointment, an expectation, or even a long-held belief about how things "should" be.

It's hard to truly connect when our hands & hearts are clenched - so this week's card is Relinquish.

Relinquish your desire to control every aspect of your life. Surrender your expectations & watch what unfolds.

Relinquishing doesn't mean you stop caring or give up everything you ever believed in, it simply means you stop gripping so hard and stop trying to control the outcome.

This week let's practice letting go and seeing what wonderful things life has in store for us. 🌾

As we wrap up February in our time in the heart space, the connection card just felt like the next card to share.

Sometimes I think we confuse connection with just being around people, but it's more about being present. True connection is feeling your own heartbeat, noticing someone’s energy as they sit beside you, or sensing the quiet wisdom in nature.

When we experience meaningful connection, our nervous system relaxes, our heart opens, our shoulders drop, and we even breathe a little deeper.

So this week, let’s practice connection using the PACT Promise:

P- Be truly present when you’re with someone, put your phone down
A- Activate your full attention by looking at them and listening to truly hear what they are saying
C- Connect to them through offering meaningful responses by offering an authentic perspective, support, or comfort
T- Give thanks for the moment you had with them and tell them they matter to you

Finally - Give love, and most importantly, let yourself receive it as well.

Notice what changes in you when you stop racing through life and start truly connecting. 📿

For years I have supported people in high-stress environments - first as a nurse, then as a leader, and now as someone who has navigated burnout personally. What I’ve realized along this journey is that it takes more than pep talks and lectures from others to navigate the dark territory of chronic stress & burnout - it takes presence & permission to care for yourself while caring for others.

So I’ve quietly been building a private healing space called Transcending Bliss, where I now offer integrative sessions designed to support resilience, emotional integration, and holistic wellness. This week’s inspiration card is Anahata, the heart center, and the surface that might sound purely spiritual but there is real science behind the energetic heart.

The heart generates the largest electromagnetic field in the body — measurable several feet beyond us (learn more at HeartMath Inc.).

The term “heart coherence,” refers to a measurable state where heart rhythm patterns become smooth, ordered, and harmonious — typically influenced by emotions like appreciation, gratitude, compassion, and love.

In a coherent state:
• the nervous system stabilizes
• stress hormones decrease
• cognitive clarity improves
• emotional regulation strengthens

When we embody the feelings of love, gratitude, forgiveness, and compassion we are not just doing emotional work. We are influencing our physiology through energetic frequencies.

As leaders, clinicians, parents, and partners our energetic state matters because coherence is contagious.

The question then becomes: What are we broadcasting into our shared spaces? And how can we shift it?
