After 20 years as an Executive Assistant, I began to search for a way to manage the stress and chronic aches and pains that came with a high-stress job. This is where my passion for yoga began. Although I started my yoga practice for stress relief and to care for my body, the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits were far greater than expected. I decided I wanted to know more and to understand why my regular yoga practice helped my anxiety and depression more than anything else had before. I registered for training and became a yoga teacher. As my training progressed, my enthusiasm grew, and I knew I wanted to share this knowledge and passion with everyone.
As more students found my classes, I felt more and more certain that this was what I was meant to do. Since 2013, I have dedicated myself to helping others feel more empowered and fulfilled through yoga, mindfulness, meditation and energy work. While I have interests in several other things, like dog/cat & house sitting, using my voice in voice over work, administrative work for a baby boutique, and being in nature, the healing work of yoga, meditation and energy work are my passion. I love helping people discover a more joyful existence.
As a skilled Yoga Teacher, Mindfulness & Meditation Coach, and Energy Practitioner, I partner with you and offer opportunities for self inquiry, exploration and discovery to bring more awareness physically, mentally and spiritually. This self awareness will help unleash true vibrancy and joy. I offer a wide range of offerings that can be tailored to anyone. I believe yoga, mindfulness and meditation is accessible to everyone and I love teaching students who have never tried these healing practices. Whether you are brand new and have never taken a yoga class, have never heard of mindfulness or energy work, or if you have included yoga and meditation into your life for many years, I would like to work with you. You don’t have to be flexible to start yoga, and you don't have to sit perfectly and stop your mind from thinking in order to meditate. People of all ages and abilities can enjoy and benefit from these practices. Along with guiding these practices, I teach students to be nonjudgmental and compassionate toward themselves. We live in a performance-based society where we feel compelled to look and act a certain way. We often don’t give ourselves the gift of time to just be who we are and to pay attention to the signals our body is giving us. I believe yoga and mindfulness offers that gift and I want everyone to experience the self-awareness and acceptance it can bring. And if you've read all the way through this, you now know I like words and over-communicating. ;-)
