The Napa County Park Rx coalition is now holding hybrid meetings in our parks! Our very windy September meeting was held at the American Canyon Wetlands Edge Park. The Wetlands are a great place for family outings, walks, bike rides, and bird watching! The outdoor Wetlands Edge Fitness Center opened in October and is a great way to get in a free workout while enjoying some fresh air. Starting on Veterans Day, veterans and Gold Star families are getting a free pass to national parks, wildlife refuges and other federal lands.

This program is making some of us wish we were between 7 and 11 years old!

The junior ranger program gives students (ages 7-11) an opportunity to explore their city parks and learn how they can protect them today and in the future. The students will acquire knowledge on the local plants, wildlife, ecosystems, and habitats found in Napa. The park ranger will guide students through daily tasks and teach them importance of park rules.

We hope that everyone is looking forward to a beautiful (and hot) holiday weekend. A friendly reminder that we still need everyone's help to keep one another safe in our parks by following some simple trail etiquette rules.

Keep extra room around you and stay aware of your surroundings, Please bring masks and wear these if you cannot keep 6 feet of distance from others. Most of all, we hope that everyone has a safe and fun weekend!

We are thrilled to be partnering with the Napa County Resource Conservation District for a summer series of outdoor "clubs" for kids.

Set your alarm for 12:30PM on Saturday, July 4th. Head to the streets as St. Helena City Fire Department Association, Saint Helena Police Department, and St. Helena Rec Leisure Enforcement parade around town with sirens & lights in celebration of Independence Day!
