Meet Tosha Varner, our amazing Medical Assistant!
Tosha has been with Avem for 9 years and brings over 30 years of heart, experience, and dedication to her role. She chose this career because she’s a natural caregiver who truly loves helping and caring for others. Working in rural healthcare has been a perfect fit. She says it feels like caring for extended family.
Originally from South Texas and South Louisiana, Tosha moved to Oklahoma her freshman year of high school and has proudly called Caddo County home for the past 26 years. She’s been married to the love of her life, Jamie, for 20 years, and together they have four wonderful kids, Darrien, Kobe, Brighton, and Maddy and a house full of animals! She’s also a proud “GiGi” to two grandsons who light up her life.
Tosha’s happy place is anywhere with family whether it’s on the softball field, at home, or vacationing and making memories. She loves shopping, interior decorating, gardening, cheering her kids on in sports and music, and of course, spending time with her grandboys. She’s a big fan of OU football, softball, and the UCO Broncho’s, especially since her daughter is the UCO mascot!
Her favorite food is Mexican, her go-to drink is an Alani, and she’s always been fascinated by storms (she once dreamed of being a storm chaser!).
Her family is what keeps her motivated they inspire her to be her best self every single day. 💛🌪️🏈🌮🌻
