sushi night - made at home šŸ£

we got most of the ingredients at and took a shortcut by buying sides of their sushi rice. you can absolutely make it yourself but make sure it’s really sticky :)

pick some proteins:
we went crazy and got yellow fin tuna, yellowtail, salmon, and shrimp tempura. sushi grade if eating raw! could also do cooked shrimp, crab, etc.

•sushi rice
•sesame seeds
•cucumber
•avocado
•shredded carrot
•jalapeƱo
•soy sauce, spicy mayo, eel sauce, ginger, wasabi, whatever you like

for sides/starters you could do edamame, a salad with a ginger dressing, and/or miso soup

•got the sushi mats on Amazon for $5
•you’ll probably want plastic wrap just to help with rolling and keep the mess to a minimum

sometimes I think if I purposely gained 30 lbs back just to lose it again and get photos/videos of it people would be more impressed 🤪

I don’t have a recent crazy transformation because I’ve beeeen doing this.

started lifting at 18
best shape of my life at 31

all about realistic, sustainable changes šŸ«¶šŸ» helping you skip over the mistakes I made along the way

I’ve noticed people thinking that they’re eating in a calorie deficit just because they are following a set of numbers that is ā€œsupposedā€ to be a calorie deficit for them.

Unfortunately those numbers don’t guarantee you are in a calorie deficit 🄲 (unless you start extremely low, which I wouldn’t recommend!)

Every person is so so different.. even if you are the same height, weight, age, and workout the same number of times per week, which is what most of those calculators use.

Consider those numbers a starting spot.. they may need to be adjusted to get into a calorie deficit, and they will likely need to be adjusted later when those numbers are no longer a calorie deficit for you! (yes, that happens too)

& don’t forget your activity level / calories burned is also a part of this equation

By the way I first started tracking macros in 2014!!! Literally 12 years ago. Competed in bikini competitions TEN years ago, and even used macros for my prep back then, which was not common. I haven’t tracked in 4.5 years now and can eat for my goals without. My approach for my clients also totally depends on the client - not all of them use macros/my fitness pal.

If you’ve applied for my coaching recently (on the waitlist) I apologize I haven’t had any spots open, but should have some soon and will get back to you asap. If you’re interested in working with me please fill out the application and I go through them when I have spots open.

I laughed at this guys video lol. Just a blunt, ā€œNo you’re not.ā€ That was the whole video. šŸ˜‚ So I wanted to add a little context.
