We’re proud to celebrate the retirement of Leo O’Brien, another incredible member of the C.W. Driver family. After 16 years with C.W. Driver and an impressive 53-year career in the construction industry, Leo leaves behind a legacy of leadership, mentorship, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
As General Superintendent, Leo was known for his deep industry knowledge, hands-on leadership, and passion for mentoring the next generation, always turning lessons learned into teaching moments on every jobsite. His steadfast dedication to safety, quality, and smooth project ex*****on earned him the respect of teams and partners across the industry.
From his first project at Irvine USD Woodbridge High School Modernization to iconic projects like Pacific City Retail, Newport Beach Civic Center and Park, Newport Beach Country Club, and the Hillsdale Shopping Center renovation in the Bay Area, Leo’s impact can be seen across countless communities.

This month, we proudly celebrate the retirement of Tom Jones, whose incredible 32-year career at C.W. Driver has left a lasting impact on our company and the communities we serve.
Since joining C.W. Driver in 1993, Tom built a career defined by strong leadership, deep industry expertise, open-minded collaboration, and a great sense of humor. Rising to the role of Project Executive, he became our GLA education and civic market champion, leading impactful projects for CSU Dominguez Hills, CSU Long Beach, UC Santa Barbara, Long Beach City College, Biola University, Irvine USD, and the cities of Manhattan Beach, Whittier, and Fontana—among many others.
Tom, thank you for your decades of commitment to excellence, teamwork, and leadership. You will be greatly missed, and we wish you all the best in your well-deserved retirement!
