🌱 Looking Back on Your Pregnancy Journey

As your pregnancy continues, take time to look back at earlier journal entries.

You may notice how your fears softened, how your confidence grew, or how your connection to your baby deepened.

On difficult days, your own words can offer comfort, strength, and perspective. You are growing—just as your baby is.

🤍 Pregnancy Affirmations for Strength & Confidence

Affirmations can be a powerful addition to your pregnancy journal—especially on hard days.

Try writing or repeating these:

✨ My body knows how to give birth.
✨ My body was made for this.
✨ I am a strong and capable woman.
✨ I accept my new role as mother.
✨ Each day I do my very best, and that is enough.
✨ My body is nourishing my baby perfectly.

Return to these words whenever you need reassurance.

Pregnancy Journal Prompts

Not sure what to write about in your pregnancy journal? Try starting with these gentle prompts:

• What did I wonder when I first realized I was pregnant?
• What concerns me right now?
• What do I feel confident about?
• How am I gaining confidence in myself?
• What do I imagine my baby will look like?

Pregnancy Journaling ✍

Pregnancy brings excitement, questions, joy—and sometimes fear. All of it is normal. 🤍

Keeping a pregnancy journal can be a powerful way to slow down, reflect, and process the emotions that come with growing a baby. You don’t need to be a writer—just honest with yourself.

Taking time to think about your baby and your journey also begins the bonding process, even before birth.

Your thoughts matter. Your feelings matter. Writing them down can bring clarity, calm, and connection.

🌿 Journaling for Emotions & Fears in Pregnancy

Pregnancy is more than physical change—it’s an emotional journey, too.
Excitement, uncertainty, joy, fear… sometimes all in the same day 🤍

Journaling during pregnancy offers a quiet space to slow down, check in with yourself, and make sense of what you’re feeling. You don’t need to be a writer. You don’t need perfect words. Just honesty.

Writing about your thoughts, worries, hopes, and daydreams can:
• Help ease emotional overwhelm
• Bring clarity and calm
• Build confidence in yourself
• Begin bonding with your baby before birth

This space is for you—your feelings, your growth, your journey into motherhood.

Over the coming posts, we’ll share gentle prompts, affirmations, and ways journaling can support emotional wellbeing throughout pregnancy.

Blood Pressure in Pregnancy 🤍

Keeping track of blood pressure during pregnancy matters. Both low and high blood pressure can give us important clues about how your body is adapting to pregnancy.

💓 What’s normal?
Blood pressure is written as two numbers (for example, 110/70):
• The top number (systolic) is pressure when the heart beats
• The bottom number (diastolic) is pressure between beats

For most pregnant women, normal blood pressure is below 120/80.

🤰 Why blood pressure can drop in pregnancy
It’s common for blood pressure to be lower than pre-pregnancy levels, especially in early pregnancy. Hormones like progesterone relax blood vessels, and your body is making more blood to support the placenta and growing uterus.

Helpful ways to support healthy BP:
• Drink plenty of water
• Eat adequate protein
• Avoid lying flat on your back after the first trimester
• Rest on your left side when possible
• Take breaks if your work involves long periods of standing

⚠️ When blood pressure is high
Blood pressure at or above 140/90 may signal a hypertensive disorder and needs follow-up. Conditions like gestational hypertension or preeclampsia require close monitoring and care.

🚨 Call your provider right away if you notice:
• Sudden swelling of face or hands
• Severe headaches
• Dizziness
• Vision changes (seeing spots or flashes)

Blood pressure changes are common—but they should never be ignored. Regular prenatal care helps us catch concerns early and support both parent and baby.

Educational purposes only. Always discuss symptoms or concerns with your care provider.

Folate ≠ Folic Acid 🌱

Not all folate is created equal.

For pregnancy, choose folate (L-methylfolate)—not folic acid.
Folate is more bioavailable and plays a crucial role in preventing neural tube defects like spina bifida.

Check your prenatal label—this matters.
