Happy Easter from Selah House đź’›

This season is a reminder that renewal is possible — even after the most difficult seasons.

At Selah House, we see the courage it takes to pursue healing from an eating disorder. Recovery isn’t linear, and it isn’t easy — but it is possible. Easter invites us to hold onto hope, to embrace small steps forward, and to trust that growth can happen in time.

Today, we’re holding space for peace, for nourishment, and for a gentler relationship with your body and yourself. Wherever you are in your journey, you are not alone — and healing is still unfolding. 🌿

Spring cleaning isn’t just for your space—it can be for your mindset, too 🌼

This season, consider what it might feel like to release rigid food rules, comparison, and perfectionism. At Selah House, we believe healing begins when you create space for nourishment, balance, and a more compassionate connection with yourself.

What are you ready to let go of this spring?

At Selah House, clients recently participated in an outing with Happy Accidents Studio, where they had the opportunity to express themselves through art and create pieces they’re proud of. These experiences provide space for reflection, creativity, and connection outside of the clinical setting.

We’re grateful to continue offering this as a regularly scheduled outing, giving clients meaningful opportunities to explore creativity and experience moments of joy and self-expression along their recovery journey.

In celebration of National Nutrition Month, Selah House is highlighting “The Power of Nutrition”—and how nourishing our bodies supports physical, mental, and social well-being.

This month, Sam Sarvak, Nutrition Assistant, is introducing new foods for clients to explore and experience together each week.

Week one featured: lychee! Clients had the opportunity to try this sweet, tropical fruit while learning about expanding food variety and building curiosity around nutrition.

We’re excited to continue celebrating the power of nutrition all month long! ✨

There is no single path to recovery, and choosing the right treatment matters.

Selah House is proud to be a member of the REDC Consortium, which partnered with the National Alliance for Eating Disorders to create:
REDC Consortium Guidebook for Choosing Eating Disorder Treatment in the Age of Hybrid Care.

This guide was developed to help individuals, loved ones, and providers navigate today’s complex treatment landscape—offering clarity on what quality, evidence-based care looks like and how to determine if a program is truly the right fit.

Thank you to all of the incredible professionals who joined us last Friday for our Eating Disorder Awareness Week continuing education event.

We were honored to host an insightful discussion on the influence of social media on eating disorder trends, led by Selah House’s Director of Nutrition, Jordan Koellner, alongside local therapist Brenna Barnard. Together, they explored the latest research and shared meaningful perspectives on how digital spaces are shaping recovery conversations and clinical work.

At Selah House, we believe education and collaboration are essential to strengthening the continuum of care. We’re grateful to be part of a community committed to staying informed, connected, and dedicated to supporting those impacted by eating disorders.

In honor of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, the alumni coordinators from Selah House, Magnolia Creek, and Aster Springs have been collaborating on something special.

This week, clients across our programs created meaningful bracelets to exchange with one another — small reminders of hope, connection, and the shared journey of recovery.

Here are just a few of the bracelets made by our Selah House clients that are being sent to sister facilities. Even miles apart, we stand united in support, strength, and community.

National Eating Disorder Awareness Week is an opportunity to raise understanding, inspire hope, and let those facing eating disorders know they are seen and supported.

Anyone can be affected, but recovery is possible with the right care and connection. Continuing to have these conversations helps reduce shame and empowers people to reach out. If you or a loved one needs support, help is here.
