UMMS Communication Collaborative-Medical Student Grand Rounds

Medical Student Grand Rounds is a twice-monthly series of talks presented by medical students for an audience of medical students and interested faculty.

Akin to many departments’ Grand Rounds, Medical Student Grand Rounds is a twice-monthly series of talks presented by medical students for an audience of medical students and interested faculty. Medical students have a diverse range of talents and experiences, and our program facilitates an accordingly diverse range of talks: presentations on students’ research work, stories from medical experiences, arguments for health policy initiatives, and more. We believe that this provides students with valuable experience presenting their ideas to an audience of medical colleagues, a chance to appreciate the many talents of our classmates, and a springboard for collaborative work among students with similar interests. Further, we—and a committee of medical students peers—have the unique opportunity to help mold the presentations from start to finish, helping us develop the talent of providing constructive, meaningful criticism.
