While we encourage followers to share thoughts and opinions on the AAHealthEquity page, we expect that this will be done in a respectful manner. The DOH does not agree with or endorse every comment that individuals post on our pages. Our goal is to share ideas and information with as many individuals as possible and our policy is to accept the majority of comments made to our page. Therefore, a comment will be deleted if it contains:
- Hate speech
- Profanity, obscenity or vulgarity
- Nudity in profile pictures
- Defamation to a person or people
- Name calling and/or personal attacks
- Comments with the main purpose to sell a product
- Comments that infringe on copyrights

- Other comments that the Department deems inappropriate. All links posted as comments will be reviewed and may be deleted. We understand that social media is a 24/7 medium; however, our moderation capabilities are not. We may not see every inappropriate comment right away, and we are trusting in the maturity of our community to ignore personal attacks and negative speech or respond politely.

This collaborative training, which took place yesterday, Tuesday, November 19th, was led by the AACO Hate Crimes Prevention Program, the Office of Emergency Management, and the AACO Police Department. It was designed to equip you with practical tools and greater confidence moving forward. A comprehensive overview of the AACo Hate Crimes Prevention Program was provided by Nicola Smith-Kea, exsmit24@aacounty.org. Key strategies for emergency preparedness within houses of worship, schools, and businesses were presented by James Krempel, emkrem00@aacounty.org. Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event (CRASE) training was provided by Megan Ott, p91726@aacounty.org.
