Sigh. I think this is why I am tired of creating deck videos in Tarot Tube. Do we really need another video about what decks we DON'T like? I think many creators are compassionate and educated enough to honestly critique decks - at least the folks I follow.
Maybe people feel pressured to get certain popular decks because of certain YouTubers or Facebook groups. For me, it was never like that. I listened to my intuition on what decks would speak most to me in readings - which may be a popular or unknown deck. And, if someone rags on Chris Anne's Light Seers Tarot deck (or any of the works she creates) one more time, I am going to explode. Tastes in artwork are highly subjective, and that is the joy of collecting decks.
Our collections are uniquely ours, and we do not need permission to love the varied art styles found in decks. Every so often, a YouTuber pops up with this type of video, thinking they are teaching or illuminating some wisdom that many of us already inherently know at this point in history. I know my brand of reading style is not for everyone, and that not all the decks I get are ones people gravitate towards, and guess what - that is alright!
