From your child’s first check-up to the moments when you need us most in the ER, our team is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care. In July of 2019, the newly constructed Patterson Health Center opened its doors. Patterson Health Center resulted in combining two Critical Access Hospitals and clinics residing in Anthony and Harper, Kansas respectively. The new Critical Access Hospital offers 16 inpatient beds, 22 rooms to support our Rural Health Clinic and Outpatient Specialty Clinics, Outpatient Therapies and a 24/7 Emergency Department.

Understanding healthcare finances can feel overwhelming. That’s where Michele Owens, Financial Advisor, makes a difference. Michele helps patients navigate their options, answer questions, and feel more confident about the financial side of their care.

After moving to Harper County to be closer to family, Michele quickly felt at home at Patterson Health Center. She loves her coworkers and the relationships she’s built in the community - and many of you may know her as Karlie’s mother-in-law. (Yes, that Karlie. 😊)

Outside of PHC, Michele enjoys cheering on her four grandkids at their activities and spending time with family - plus two grand-dogs.

Did you know that President Franklin D. Roosevelt was a pioneer in what we now call Hydrotherapy?

After contracting polio in 1921, FDR discovered that the buoyant, warm mineral waters in Warm Springs, Georgia, allowed him to move and strengthen his muscles in ways he couldn't on land. He was so convinced of the "healing waters" that he founded a world-class respiratory and rehabilitation center there, helping thousands of others find their path to recovery.

FDR knew what our physical therapy team knows today - water is a powerful tool for healing! Our very own Therapy Pool uses that same principle of buoyancy to:
