I’m designing this space slowlyusing what I can find
resourcefulness has been the most important partand a willingness to let things go
this table was free, but it came with benchesI let them go so I could bring in these iron chairs
I’m constantly reworking what I havetrading, adjusting, and refininguntil it fits the space the way I want it to
the bowls were someone else’s extrasthe cushions are living a second life here
nothing here was randomit just came together over time
and now it finally feels like mine 💚

let’s add some jewelry to this room ✨

I almost bought a different chandelier. I even cried when it sold after my offer had already been accepted.

but this one found me.

I sold pieces from my home to fund it. drove further than I planned. figured out vintage wiring and how to make it work with a 100 year old house. and somehow… it feels more right than anything I could have chosen before.

it has presence. a little edge. and the way it glows against the clay ceiling at night makes the whole room feel quiet and romantic.

I wasn’t afraid of the scale, even in a small room. I trusted the placement. and now it just belongs.

sometimes what feels like a missed opportunity is actually protection.

this one feels like a blessing 💚

What I thrifted, and how I styled it 💚

This piece came to me through the circular economy. Passed from one home to the next, and now finding its place here.

I’ve been slowly letting go of what no longer feels aligned and moving those pieces back into the world. In return, I’ve been able to bring in things that feel like me today.

This entire moment came together on a zero budget. Sold pieces I wasn’t using. Reinvested in something that reflects who I’m becoming.

My home is changing because I am changing.

More confidence in color. In print. In choosing what feels right instead of what feels safe.

And it’s not about more. It’s about better. Slower. More intentional.

A home that evolves with you is the goal.

This room wasn’t livable.

It took days of living in the mess before I could start putting it back together. Cleaning, resetting, making space for light again.

Hanging these Belgian linen curtains felt like a turning point. When the room softened and started to feel like home again.

And that first cup of tea after… everything.

I’ve been painting for five days.

A few minutes here
a few hours there

It’s slower than I expected
and more physical than I imagined

not perfect
but worth it 💚

Y’all said I should go for it. Nearly died. 😅

should I just go for it? 💚

Getting ready for the Bay Area Yarn Crawl 💚

A little look at how I prep… gathering samples, packing my pieces, and, of course, bringing my knitting with me everywhere I go.

I’ve been using the Stelo Normal Interchangeable Needle Set (Grande, 5”) and pairing it with Symfonie Luna yarn in Coral Cloud. The experience has been so smooth from cast on to stitching on the go. The needles feel incredibly balanced in hand, and the yarn has that soft, luminous quality that makes you want to keep knitting just one more row.

I’ll be wearing the (pattern in the works) and the to today from 11:30am to 1pm. If you’re local, come say hi.💚 I’ll be part of the Designer Showcase and will have a small trunk show on display.

Follow along for more slow, intentional making and behind the scenes of building a handmade wardrobe.

Thank you for collaborating with me on this.

I designed this sweater when life felt unsettled. Somewhere along the way, it gave me something steady to return to. If this resonated with you, I’d be so grateful if you shared it 🤍

I used fi*****ng weight yarn, “Nibble” from . The fabric is light, but the process felt grounding. Working through it one section at a time helped me move through that season in the same way.

I’ve just finished knitting the Birch Tree Cardi, so the pattern isn’t ready yet. I’m excited to share more soon.💚

If you’re local, I’ll be participating in the Bay Area Yarn Crawl Designer Showcase at this Saturday from 11:30am to 1pm. Please come by and say hi. If the weather cooperates, I’ll be wearing it.

Follow for more slow living inspo.

Creating a bedroom that feels calm has become an important part of how I design my home. Small things can make a big difference. I’ve been enjoying this weighted blanket from .

The gentle weight helps me slow down, and because it’s made from organic cotton, it’s breathable enough to use year round. I also love that I can move it with me from the bed to my chair when I want a quiet moment during the day.

Garden hack incoming 🌿

I’m building my Vego elevated garden bed using the hugelkultur method, turning what I already have into rich soil over time. Never thought I’d stomp leaves like grapes, but I don’t have a lawn mower in the middle of the city.

Right now it’s just leaves… and two tiny strawberry plants 🍓. No soil yet, but starting in February feels like a promise to spring.

Check out the Vego elevated garden bed for yourself. Use my code BAYRONHANDMADE10OFF via my Linktree to get started 🌱
