Primary Care Associates of Appleton is pleased to now offer Ultrasound Liver Elastography, a non-invasive imaging service that helps evaluate liver health.

This advanced ultrasound technology measures the stiffness of liver tissue, which can help detect and monitor conditions such as liver fibrosis or fatty liver disease — often before symptoms develop.

For many patients, this test can provide valuable insight into liver health without the need for more invasive procedures.

Your provider may recommend liver elastography if you have risk factors such as:
• Fatty liver disease
• Elevated liver enzymes
• Diabetes or metabolic conditions
• A history of liver disease

Expanding access to advanced diagnostic tools allows us to continue strengthening the preventive care we provide to our patients.

❄️ Weather Update – Clinic Closure - Monday, March 16th ❄️

Due to ongoing blizzard conditions in our area, Primary Care Associates of Appleton will remain closed on Monday, March 16th to help ensure the safety of our patients and staff. For those patients that have appointments scheduled for tomorrow, you will receive a text message informing you of the cancellation or our team will reach directly out to you via phone call.

A provider will remain on call for urgent medical concerns, and we will resume normal operations on Tuesday morning beginning at 8:00 a.m.

❄️ Weather Closure Notice ❄️

Due to the inclement weather forecast from Winter Storm Elsa, Primary Care Associates of Appleton will be closed on Sunday, March 15 for the safety of our patients and staff.

A provider will still be on-call for urgent and acute care concerns during this time.

We will be open tomorrow morning (Saturday, March 14) beginning at 8:00 AM for scheduled and acute care visits.

Please continue to monitor our social media channels for any updates regarding Monday’s hours. At this time, we expect to be open as planned.

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, an important reminder that screening saves lives.

Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable cancers when detected early. Routine screening can identify precancerous polyps before they become cancer and detect cancer in its earliest, most treatable stages.

At Primary Care Associates of Appleton, Dr. Oetken and Dr. Werner perform colonoscopies as part of our commitment to preventive care.

You may be due for screening if you:
• Are age 45 or older
• Have a family history of colorectal cancer or polyps
• Have been advised by your provider to screen earlier

If you’re unsure whether you’re due for a screening, our team can help guide you through the process.
