Marketta Flowers, QBHP, recently completed training with Crisis Prevention Institute to become a certified trainer in de-escalation techniques. Marketta will be responsible for ensuring ACaP staff receive the required training that allows us to best serve our clients. Please join us in congratulating Marketta on her accomplishment!

We are honored to be members of the Arkansas Council for Behavioral Health and for the opportunity to sponsor a booth at the 50th annual Behavioral Health Institute. We met many practitioners and vendors who work diligently to ensure mental health services are available to citizens of this great state. Congratulations to Tim Taylor with UAMS, who was the winner of our Yeti Cooler giveaway! We look forward to next year!

MEET OUR STAFF:

Chris Wheeler recently joined ACAP as our Chief Operating Officer.

Chris is a graduate of Henderson State University and is licensed in Arkansas as a nursing home administrator. He is a life-long resident of Pike and Clark counties and brings with him over 15 years of experience in multiple social programs, senior living, management, consulting, and facility operations.

Chris is looking forward to applying the experience he has gained over his professional career to the field of behavioral health.

Please join us in welcoming Kim Boogaerts, LPC to the ACaP family!

Kim is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors and has years of experience providing direct mental health and behavioral counseling for people of all ages with a variety of presenting issues, including anxiety, relationship and family issues, trauma, and depression.

Kim's therapy style is to design the treatment plan and approach that will allow her to work with the client to meet established goals. Whether you are working towards enlightenment and insight, or symptom relief and improved function, Kim's hope is to work collaboratively with her clients to achieve those goals.

If you are ready to take the first step to a more fulfilling and happier life, Kim is here to support and empower you!

When Kim isn't working she enjoys a wide range of hobbies, including traveling, interior decorating, and any outdoor activity.
