Check out Connor’s fame on a page called Quick Turtle.

I decorated his mullet for the Kurri Kurri Mullet Fest and some how his pic has ended up on that page, some of the comments are hilarious.

The mullet and Connor parted company about a week after the event, it was an amicable parting 🤣🤣

Glad to report that as well as his new found fame he is also still enjoying great vision 😁😁

New vision means a new bike 😁 to ride with new confidence 🚵‍♀️.

Check up yesterday, was meant to be today but I was on AUstralian time 🤣🤣🤣. The Dr was very happy with how it is healing. He had 20/20 vision in his left eye with only 2 letters wrong. Still not much in the right but considering his brain hasn’t used that eye for a long time we need to be patient. So all well here, keen to get home. It was so cold today the wee bit of my face that was the only part of me exposed to the weather when I went for a walk today, really hurt. It is now -8 and going to get to -11🥶

Connor seems to have been knocked around a bit more after this last surgery. His body seemed to go into a bit of shock this morning when he took his patch off and he passed out. Lucky he got to a seat as he began to feel wobbly. He had a check up today and Dr is happy, lots more to heal this time.

Also want to say a big thank you to all the staff at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Hospital who greeted us with big hugs and lots of empathy for Australia and all that’s happening to our great country. Especially Joyce, Mike, Annette, Dr Scott, Dr Anesi and all the others who helped Connor today. 🙏🙏

Home from hospital, surgeon happy, he thinks he can see a difference already when I take the patch off to do the drops but it will be a day or 2 before he can really start to notice. The eye is much redder and more sore looking than the left one was due to the work that had to be done on this one. Oreo’s definitely prescribed by the Doc 🤣🤣

So he’s in for round 2. Surgeon confident he will have a good outcome. Thea pictures show some of the internal eye structure. He will have the lens and the capsule it’s in removed and the vitreous which is the gel that fills the eye. He will have a new lens and new liquid put into the eye and then they will scrap the calcium that has been deposited on the surface of his eye. All done with microscopic tools and the surgeon. No robots involved!! Will keep you posted on the outcome. Thanks to everyone for your best wishes and prayers 😘😘

We are back in Boston for surgery on his right eye this time. This surgery is almost like a rebuild of the interior structures of his eye. We are very excited, especially Connor of course, at the thought of him having vision in both eyes again. The surgery will be at 11.30 pm Friday night NSW time, which will be 7.30 am Friday morning for us 😁

We did some sight seeing today around Tubac. This place is amazing. Most of these shops were closed but all the stuff just stays out on the street and there is no theft!!! So much colour and art.
