Milia Removal | Let’s talk about it!
Milia appears when tiny amounts of keratin becomes trapped under the skin.
- Milia forms under the skin and is NOT contained within a pore, so it does not have an “opening”. This means milia cannot be extracted like a normal white/blackhead.
- Milia can appear anywhere, but they’re commonly found on the face, specifically around the eyes.
- Milia are harmless but for cosmetic reasons clients want them treated.
Primary treatment recommended is gentle exfoliation, reduce occlusives and change out eye products. If that isn’t working or a client wants immediate results, we discuss removal.
Proper removal is painless, non-irritating and non-scarring.
