It’s been a year of ups and downs, with still so much to be grateful for. There was a time I would never put myself out in front of groups, let alone organize a community collective and become a trainer for a national organization. Looking forward to where 2026 may go.

Researchers at the University of California San Francisco carried out a clinical study to evaluate whether psilocybin, the active compound in magic mushrooms, could help people living with Parkinsons disease. The condition affects movement, mood, and cognitive processing, which makes it difficult to treat with standard medication alone.

Participants in the study received a controlled psilocybin session under medical supervision. At the one week follow up researchers observed meaningful improvements in mood stability, emotional resilience, and clarity of thought. Participants also showed signs of better motor coordination, including smoother movement and improved control.

When the team reassessed the group one month later many of the benefits remained. The improvements did not replace regular treatment but added support in areas where patients often struggle the most, such as depression and cognitive slowdown. The findings suggest that psilocybin may offer an additional tool for improving quality of life in Parkinsons, though larger studies are needed before the treatment can be widely adopted.

To our retired and active military, we thank you, we honor your service, and we acknowledge that you have sacrificed more than we can ever know.

And that sacrifice doesn't stop when military service ends. We can wish them a Happy Veterans Day, or offer a free meal one day a year - but what is really needed is a true overhaul in the way we care for our vets.

Open access to life-saving mental health and trauma recovery treatments - because the alternative of losing them, is not acceptable.

Wow, watched the whole thing on Netflix tonight and it is powerful. This documentary chronicles three Navy SEALS as they undergo Psych*delic-Assisted Therapy via Ibogaine and 5MeO-DMT for TBI and PTSD.

"Since 9/11 - there were 7100 combat casualties killed in action and in the same time frame - roughly 31,500 veteran su***des. That's approximately 22 per day. That means we are losing 4.3x the number of service members to su***de than we lost to actions against the enemy."

Holy smokes - that's a number that will stick with me and deeply saddens me.

The other statement made by one of the veterans that is haunting, "If we didn't abuse children, would we even have a military?"

Marcus described in his medical discharge letter: “My mental condition has diminished. I’ve tried to hide it, but I’m struggling in many aspects of my life. I consume large quantities of alcohol. I have pulled my pistol from the safe more times than I can count just from the doorbell ringing. I’ve lost contact with many close friends. My temper is sporadic. I find myself easily angry. I am in a constant struggle with anxiety, nightmares, depression.”

After the Ibogaine treatment he expressed, "I was able to see these difficult moments of my life from a different angle, and it made me realize that none of this was my fault...The weight was getting lifted off. I felt almost like a defragging of my brain. All the walls you put up, all the body armor you put on goes away...I felt lifted...light...like it was a new day."

These are life-saving medicines that veterans and the public deserve to know about and have access to.

Streaming on Netflix November 3rd.

✨ AuDHD isn’t rare.
It’s just rarely understood.
Autism + ADHD together isn’t “too much.”
It’s a brain wired for both pattern + speed like seeing the world in HD while everyone else runs on standard settings.
That can feel like overload.
But it can also feel like power.
Here are 6 truths about AuDHD minds that most people never realize 👇🏼
1. Double the Difference, Not Double the Deficit
Two diagnoses ≠ two strikes.
AuDHD blends strengths:
🌀 pattern recognition + creative leaps = insights that shock even you sometimes.
2. Focus Works in Extremes
ADHD = scattered sparks.
Autism = unshakable tunnel vision.
Together??? It looks chaotic on the outside, but inside, when passion lands, you unlock a level of mastery that feels almost unstoppable.
(You’ve felt it. Hours vanish. The world disappears. You become the thing.)
3. Sensory Sensitivity Meets Restless Drive
Noise, lights, textures = overwhelming.
But novelty, music, movement = pure fuel.
The same environment that drains you can also supercharge you.
(That’s why you crash one moment and come alive the next: you’re not broken, you’re wired different.)
4. Social Wiring is Complex
Autistic wiring craves truth + clarity.
ADHD wiring craves energy + connection.
Mix them, and “small talk” feels fake, but when you find your people??? The bonds are so deep, they feel like oxygen.
5. Emotional Intensity is Real
Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (ADHD) + deep autistic empathy = emotions that hit like tidal waves.
Yes, it hurts. But it also means you care, connect, and notice at a depth most people will never touch.
(Your heart is both your shield and your superpower.)
6. Structure Unlocks Potential
ADHD resists rules.
Autism thrives on them.
The sweet spot = flexible structure.
Enough order to feel safe. Enough freedom to feel alive.
🌌 AuDHD isn’t “too much.”
It isn’t broken.
It’s an operating system tuned for depth, insight, and innovation.
One that catches patterns others miss, feels truths others avoid, and imagines futures others can’t.
👉🏼 You’re not defective.
You’re different by design.
And the world needs exactly that.
