Food highlights from this week- non tracking

I decided to take this week off tracking macros for a few reasons. I’ve been reallllly off my normal routine work wise, gym wise, sleep wise, etc

Between packing and getting ready for our move I’ve been all over the place 😅

I’ve tracked my macros pretty religiously for awhile now and I just decided I wanted to try and eat more intuitively and enjoy some fun meals with friends and family.

Granted I know I’m a little fluffier than usual but that’s okay🤣

Gonna prep and get back to normal tomorrow!

Just your reminder it’s okay to take a break if you need it. Tracking macros is an amazing tool to weight loss and being able to find balance in your life. Sometimes we need that time to focus on other things or just take a step back and get back to work when we’re ready. Give yourself a pat on the back for showing up today, you’re awesome.

This weekend was a really special one for me (and Ryan 😜)

We are officially moving to NC in a few weeks and we couldn’t be more excited!! That being said, this past month has been full of challenges, stress, anxiety, you name it. I’m going to miss so many amazing people I’ve met at my gyms throughout the years and of course my friends and family.

But I’m so proud that we’re taking the jump. IF YOU WANT SOMETHING YOU CAN FREAKING HAVE IT. I’m STOKED to be opening up my roster for more clients with 🥰🤗

I cannot wait to meet with and work with more amazing people. This is just the beginning. FUTURE IS JUST AS BRIGHT AS THIS SUN ☀️

Why are you waiting til the New Year to start?!

Choosing to accomplish a new goal has nothing to do with a date and has everything to do with you being READY.

Prove to yourself that you’re stronger than you think and just start already. If this new goal is so important to you why would you wait any longer?

Start setting new habits NOW so when 2022 is here you can hit the ground running!

This workout kicked my BUTT.

After a few days of vacation and a holiday, I like to throw on a sweatshirt and get a good sweaty workout in. It helps me feel so much better and hit that reset button to get right back on track for the week.

Post vacation guilt is real and something I definitely still struggle with. Getting back to my normal workout and eating routine helps me snap out of it and 9/10 times I’m back to my usual weight within a week. Please please do not under eat or over exercise to “make up for it”

You will not lose your progress after a weekend of eating and drinking 🗣👏🏻

I feel like I almost don’t recognize that girl on the left photo... I had lost my job due to Covid, gyms were closed down, and my mental health was definitely not it’s best. I was focusing on cardio (boxing, running) and calorie intake overall rather than my specific macronutrients. I was still lifting weights but not nearly as much as I do now. I feel like I just didn’t have enough of an understanding the importance of nutrition to fuel my workouts and have better energy and mental health overall.

Don’t get me wrong I felt confident in that photo on the left and by no means am I saying I looked bad but what I am saying is that girl in the photo on the left never thought she could be the girl in the photo on the right.

A year later and I’ve accomplished goals for myself that I didn’t even know were possible or that I had. I am SO much stronger now not just physically but mentally. I’ve learned to be nice to myself, prioritize rest, and give myself grace bc if you don’t take care of yourself who will? Our bodies take care of us every.single.day so why did I feel like I had to eat low calories all the time or be miserable and do extra cardio? Please believe me when I say that it’s NOT FU***NG WORTH IT.

Now my mindset is to eat to FUEL my body. I eat because I LOVE my body. Tracking my macros consistently has been difficult at times but so worth it. I promise you there is freedom, you are not stuck where you are you don’t have to feel like it has to be like this forever. Food is not the enemy, food does not have power over you. You don’t have to be the smallest version of yourself to feel confident, accepted, or beautiful. If you’re on a health/ fitness journey or want to start your journey do it because you want to better yourself not because you hate yourself. Let go of what no longer serves you.
