I’ve been a tough cookie my whole life. Independent. Guarded. Strong by necessity. I learned early how to handle things on my own, how to keep pushing, how to carry weight without letting it show. But every once in a while, someone comes into your life with the patience to navigate that strength. They don’t push. They don’t retreat. They don’t label you as “difficult.” They try to understand you. They stay. They listen. They see past the armor and recognize that toughness was never about being hard it was about surviving. And when someone chooses to meet you with patience instead of pressure, it changes you in ways force never could. 🤍
I could say he’s just my coach but that’s my dawg. My brother. My life coach. My joking partner. Family. He welcomed me to his team with open arms. What I once viewed as just a gym became my place of peace. The place where I can show up, be seen, and finally let my guard down. If you ask him, it took forever for me to even smile… and now I can’t shut up lol.
Through all my ups and downs, there’s never been judgment. I’ve walked into that gym on some of my darkest days, and him and the rest of Rockbuilt has helped pull me out every single time. It’s crazy but I didn’t even realize how much I needed a hug every day until I started getting one. He’s truly one of the best humans I’ve ever come across. Someone who believes in me when I can’t see it for myself. Someone who pushes me past limits that I never knew existed.
In this life, you get one chance to become extraordinary and who really wants to be average? God always knows what you need, and He places the right people around you to support your journey and keep that dawg in you going . I don’t always have to do it alone… and neither do you.
Thank you, always, Lu and The Rockbuilt family ❤️♥️🖤
