Come join us for 50+ Gentle Yoga Classes! New classes start on September 8th at just $6 per class. Pre-registration through Ashland Parks & Rec is required.

See class descriptions below to see which class is right for you. Looking forward to welcoming in September!

Gentle Yoga
Mon 10:30 – 11:30, Wed 9:15 – 10:15 & 10:30 – 11:30
This one-hour gentle Hatha Yoga class is suitable for individuals who prefer to practice yoga standing, sitting, and lying down. This class focuses on maintaining and enhancing balance, strength, and joint mobility while incorporating breathwork and guided relaxation. Students must be able to independently get on and off the floor and follow class instructions. Please bring your yoga mat; other yoga props will be provided.

Chair Yoga
Mon 11:45 – 12:30
This 45-minute gentle Chair Yoga class is suitable for those who prefer to practice from a seated position. This class focuses on maintaining and enhancing balance, strength, and joint mobility while incorporating breathwork and guided relaxation. Students have the option to remain seated for the entire class or use the chair for support during some standing poses. Students must be able to independently get in and out of the chair and follow class instructions. Chairs and yoga props will be provided.

Cheri Theobold, an accredited 300+ hour yoga teacher with specialized training in Accessible Yoga and Meditation, Yin Yoga and Teaching Yoga to Seniors. She teaches Gentle Yoga at Ashland Senior Center and hosts Yin Yoga classes and workshops through Ashland.
