Entheogen Institute lead instructor Coeli Dwivedi, MS, LPF walks through a 2024 randomized clinical trial published in JAMA Network Open examining psilocybin-assisted therapy for clinicians experiencing depression, burnout, and trauma related to frontline COVID care.

The study found significant and sustained improvements in depression scores following a single, well-supported psilocybin session, adding important data to how this work is being studied and applied in real-world settings.

We just shared the full breakdown on YouTube.

A reminder that capacity can be cultivated.

In state-licensed psilocybin services, this medicine can be a vessel for building that capacity, and at Entheogen Institute we train facilitators to help clients access it safely and with care.

In facilitation, moments of intensity are not unusual. Crying, fear, agitation, or strong emotional release can arise.

In this clip, Coeli Dwivedi, MS, LPF, Director and Lead Instructor at Entheogen Institute, speaks about what happens in sessions when a facilitator becomes internally activated, and why regulated presence is central to safety.

This is a short clip from our latest YouTube video on what actually prepares facilitators for real sessions, link in our bio.

Facilitation requires the ability to notice what arises internally and not act from it.

In this clip, Coeli Dwivedi, MS, LPF, Director and Lead Instructor at Entheogen Institute, speaks about somatic presence and learning to work with the internal impulses that can surface during sessions, such as the urge to fix, rescue, or intervene.

This is a short clip from our latest YouTube video exploring what actually prepares facilitators for the realities of the work. You can watch the full video with the link in our bio.

Ongoing support, peer consultation, self reflection, and staying current with regulations and research are part of what facilitation requires in real practice.

In this clip, Coeli Dwivedi, MS, LPF, Director and Lead Instructor at Entheogen Institute, shares how these structures are built into training and why they matter once facilitators begin working with clients.

This is a clip from our latest YouTube video. We have a link in our bio to watch the full conversation.

Entheogen Institute Director and Lead Instructor Coeli Dwivedi, MS, LPF on how adults actually learn best.

There is an entire field of study devoted to adult learning, known as andragogy. One of its core insights is that adults do not learn through information alone. We learn by integrating knowledge, experience, and reflection.

In our training, we apply this science intentionally. Coursework, practicum, and embodied learning are designed to work together so facilitators are not just informed, but prepared to meet real sessions with steadiness and presence.

If you are exploring facilitation training, understanding how a program approaches adult learning can make all the difference.

Entheogen Institute Director and Lead Instructor Coeli Dwivedi, MS, LPF on why your nervous system is part of the work.

In facilitation, safety is not created through techniques or interventions, but through curating a regulated presence.

When a facilitator is regulated, clients feel it. That felt sense of safety is what allows someone to settle, open, and meet what arises.

This is foundational to safe, ethical facilitation. And it is something many training programs do not emphasize enough.

If you are considering facilitator training, this is one of the most important things to understand.

We just uploaded a full video and companion blog going deeper into this topic. Link in bio.

The non-directive approach is rooted in the belief that people carry their own innate capacity for healing. Rather than steering, interpreting, or imposing meaning, the facilitator’s role is to create safety and presence so that the client’s inner intelligence can guide the experience. This quote reflects that same principle, pointing us toward listening inward, trusting the body and intuition, and remembering that the medicine does not give wisdom so much as reveal what is already there.

There’s a reason ps*locybin work so often feels less like “fixing” and more like remembering. In a well-held session, people aren’t pushed to become someone new – they’re supported in letting go of roles, beliefs, and expectations that were never truly theirs, so their own voice can come forward. That’s the heart of how we teach facilitation at Entheogen Institute: protect the space, honor the person, and trust what’s already within them.

The transition from facilitator training graduation into real session work can feel intimidating. EI’s Consultation Group gives facilitators a space to discuss real client cases, receive feedback from mentors, and to practice facilitation skills. They learn from each other’s session experiences, navigate ethics and boundaries, and build confidence through shared casework and skills workshops. Send us a DM to get started!
