Earlier in 2026, we piloted our Rent Smart Program! Rent Smart is an educational course designed to equip participants with the knowledge and confidence to make informed housing choices and succeed as renters.

We are excited to announce we are ready to open this program to all renters for FREE! Our goal is to equip both renters and landlords with the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed and build positive, lasting rental experiences.

A 3-Part Rental Education Course

Adapted from a curriculum developed by the University of Wisconsin–Madison Cooperative Extension and enhanced with resources and legal guidance from Legal Services Alabama, the program is thoughtfully tailored for Alabama residents.

Throughout the course, participants explore key topics such as:�
✅ Understanding tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities�
✅ Navigating applications, leases, and the moving process�
✅ Building financial literacy and budgeting skills�
✅ Managing home care, maintenance, and basic repairs�
✅ Communicating effectively with landlords and neighbors

All children need to be picked up by 1:40!

Due to the threat of severe weather, Limestone County Schools will be dismissing early today, March 11.

Elementary will dismiss at 1:40 p.m. followed by high school at 2 p.m. All after school activities are cancelled.

Please continue to stay weather aware through the rest of the day.
