I'm pretty sure I've left some out, but I'll keep updating. Still, when I look at this list it blows my mind to think of all the great acts (truly some of my favorite bands) I've had the privilege to represent and/or book tours for over the years, even if just for a little while. These days I'm (still) hosting shows in Athens OH....and coordinating the Music & Recording Industry program at Hocking College. Interested bands/artists/agents get in touch if you're headed towards Ohio and need a show.

We’re super-excited to announce that we’re partnering with O’Betty’s Red Hot, Casa Cantina and The SideBar on Friday, February 6th (OU Sibs Weekend) to bring you The State Street Winter Margarina! It’s a double-venue blowout, stacked with tons of great bands….PAL, False Teeth, Space Kid, The Fibonacci Fellas, Cranberry Casket, Jone & The Hissyfits, Twerp, Futz, and more! Hey Hey 2026! We’re back -and excited to start announcing some shows! Up first, on Friday, January 30th we’ve got a good one coming up at The Union featuring four of our favorites- Kid Primitive, Twerp, Ananke, and The Zeitgeist! It’s that time of year! Blackout presents LEMONFEST 2025, this Saturday (Dec. 13th) at The Union! Lemonfest is Athens, OH’s annual celebration of the music of The Beatles, performed by some great local and regional artists. Proceeds benefit the Athens Artist Memorial Project (AAMP), which helps support regional music and arts education initiatives while memorializing beloved local artists who have passed. Advance tickets are on sale now; grab yours today (ticket link in bio ) to support AAMP and this super-fun event!

This year’s show features sets by members of Any Colour, Stella, Geraldine, The Zeitgeist, Sportfishing USA, Bob City, East of Hedon, along with sets by The Come On Come Ons, Caitlin Kraus, Julian Runyon and more!

This show has been going in some form or another since the 90s at various venues in Athens, with The Union being our main spot over the years! Check out some old posters from past Lemnonfests, and grab your tickets today from the link at - hope to see ya there!

Thanks to everyone who came out to support this year’s Benefest! We raised nearly 3k for Stuart’s Opera House Afterschool Music Program and The Gathering Place! Thanks to all the bands, sound engineers, student volunteers and interns, all the great folks from Stuart’s Opera House and The Gathering Place, all the great folks at The Union and Casa Cantina, everyone who made this year’s Benefest such a successful and fun event! Let’s do that again next year!

Throwing back to Benefest’s Past today! Check out this cool little collection of photos and posters from the event over the years! It;s been a
blast working with so many amazing bands, venues, student volunteers, community organizations, local businesses, and friends on this project. Thanks to all who have performed, helped coordinate, run sound, designed posters, stage-managed, and helped promote the shows. Thanks to the venues for giving us a home for the event, and the organizations for all they do for our community. Be sure to check out Benefest 2025, this weekend at The Union on Friday (7pm), and Casa Cantina on Saturday(9pm)! Check out this year’s Benefest line-up! Ten bands over two nights at The Union (Friday) and Casa Cantina (Saturday)! Friday at The Union we’re opening the doors at 7pm, with music starting at 7:30pm featuring: The Laughing Chimes, Rylee Bapst, The Zeitgeist, Feline Frenzy, and Stuart’s Opera House AMP bands, Sub-Zero and Pretty Incident!

Saturday at Casa we’re starting at 9:30 featuring Blush, Space Kid, Jone & The Hissyfits, and Hourglass!

Benefest 2025 is coming up Nov. 21st and 22nd! We’ve got 10 great local bands over two nights with our Friday at The Union, and Saturday at Casa Cantina! Hey folks, working with the Local Honeys, and all the great acts playing tonight, we’re hosting a food drive at The Union for tonight’s show. Due to recent bullsh*t/cuts, a lot of folks in our area could use some help. Please donate if you are able. Additionally, if you can’t make it tonight and would like to help out you can donate funds to Athens County Food Pantry directly by visiting their site, or the link on the profile/bio. Thanks for your consideration! Doors open at 8pm! Hope to see you there!

Here’s a list of food donations we can work with:
Peanut Butter (or other nut butters)
Jelly
Cereal (whole grain, low sugar preferred)
Granola Bars
Canned Fruit (preferably in juice and not syrup)
Canned Vegetables (low sodium preferred)
Condensed Soups (low sodium preferred)
Chicken, Beef or Vegetable Stocks or Broths
Pasta Noodles (whole grains preferred)
Canned Pasta / Tomato Sauce
Canned or Boxed Meals (Chili, Beef Stew, Chicken & Dumplings, etc.)
Boxed Side Dishes (Macaroni and Cheese, Stuffing, Powdered Potatoes, etc.)
Canned Tuna (in water, preferred), Canned Chicken, Canned Pork, Canned Salmon
Canned Pasta (heat and serve pasta with sauce)
Canned Beans (Pork & Beans, Kidney Beans, Black Beans, etc.)
Dried Beans, Rice, Quinoa or other grains
Dried Fruit (Raisins, Prunes, etc.)
Shelf Stable Milk or Milk Substitutes
Note: Canned goods with pop-top lids are preferable as they are easy to open. Also, please avoid foods packaged in glass when possible to avoid breakage during handling.
