Not all harm is obvious. Sometimes people are gradually encouraged to take part in behaviours that target, isolate, or undermine someone else, often without being given the full picture.

It may be framed as:

• a joke
• a test
• something “small”
• something “everyone is doing”

But small actions can add up to real harm.

This post isn’t about blame.

It’s about awareness.

If something feels uncomfortable or unclear, it’s okay to pause, ask questions, or step away.

Integrity matters, even in quiet moments.

Before the programmes.

Before the panels.

Before Bounce Black…

There was just this little girl.

She didn’t know about systems, or strategy, or the language we now use to describe inequality and healing.

But she would grow to feel it. To live it. To question it. And eventually, rise to respond to it.

This is who has dedicated her life to empowering Black students & professionals to thrive holistically, unapologetically, and in environments that don’t always make that easy.

For her, Bounce Black is a response and a commitment. A calling rooted in lived experience. Times have changed, but the work continues.

With care, with intention, and with community. 🖤

The narrative that people are “tired of dating apps” might not tell the full story.

According to the inaugural U.K. State of Black Singles Report from based on a survey of nearly 2,000 Black British singles, the real issue isn’t dating itself, it’s unserious dating.

The findings point to a clear cultural shift toward intentionality, boundaries, and clarity:

• 75.9% are seeking serious or marriage-minded relationships

• 57% of Gen Z respondents say they are currently celibate

• Over 82% of Gen Z still desire marriage

• 67% prioritise connection, character, and shared ambition over a partner’s bank balance

In other words: Black singles aren’t giving up on love.

They’re raising the standard.

If you’re curious about how dating culture is evolving across the Black British diaspora, the full report is well worth a read.

Black mothers nurture families, hold communities together, and raise the next generation with love, resilience, and wisdom.

From biological mothers to stepmothers, aunties, grandmothers, foster and adoptive mothers, and the many “othermothers” who help raise our children.

But celebrating Black mothers must also mean confronting the realities they still face. In the UK, Black women are still around 3–4 times more likely to die during pregnancy or childbirth than white women.

Many also navigate postpartum mental health challenges, financial pressures, discrimination in healthcare, and the heavy responsibility of protecting their children from a world that is not always safe for them.

Black mothers deserve more than praise. They deserve protection, care, rest, and support.

As communities, we have a responsibility to rally around Black mothers by checking in, advocating for better maternal care, supporting services that centre them, and ensuring no mother has to carry the weight alone.

Because when we protect Black mothers, we protect the future of our communities. 🖤

Organised harassment is rarely discussed publicly, yet many professionals report patterns of coordinated intimidation, surveillance, and retaliation after speaking up about wrongdoing.

Across multiple countries, people have described experiences where groups appear to collaborate to damage reputations, isolate individuals socially, or create professional and financial instability. When these patterns occur, the scale and coordination sometimes suggest the involvement of individuals with specialised training, including people with backgrounds in security, intelligence, or law enforcement.

For Black professionals in particular, these experiences can intersect with existing workplace discrimination and racial bias, making the consequences even more severe.

Some of the tactics often described in cases of organised harassment — including surveillance, intimidation, and social manipulation — are also referenced in materials connected to the Jeffrey Epstein case, demonstrating that such methods are not merely theoretical.

These issues raise important questions about accountability, oversight, and the misuse of influence or resources to silence individuals.

This post highlights:

• What organised harassment can look like

• How it can affect careers, wellbeing, and safety

• Why transparency and oversight matter

• What communities can do to respond

If you believe these issues deserve proper investigation and public scrutiny, you can take action.

Contact your local Member of Parliament, state representative, or elected official and ask them to support inquiries into coordinated harassment and retaliation networks. Link in bio for a template email.

Raising awareness is an important first step toward accountability.

How do coordinated harassment campaigns allegedly operate?

Across investigative journalism and survivor testimony, similar patterns are reported again and again:

• Reputation attacks

• Social isolation

• Surveillance and monitoring

• Workplace retaliation

• Financial destabilisation

Some of these tactics have also been referenced in discussions surrounding documents linked to the Epstein investigation.

If even a fraction of these allegations are true, they represent a serious threat to civil liberties.

That’s why we are encouraging people to contact their MP or state representative and request investigation and oversight.

Transparency protects everyone.

Allegations of coordinated “revenge-for-hire” harassment networks have circulated in public discourse for years.

These claims describe tactics such as smear campaigns, surveillance, intimidation, and reputational sabotage.

Whether these allegations are proven or disproven, serious claims deserve serious investigation.

Black professionals already face systemic barriers in workplaces and institutions. Coordinated harassment can amplify those harms and destabilise careers, livelihoods, and wellbeing.

That’s why we’ve created a template email you can send to your MP or state representative requesting investigation and stronger oversight.

Transparency protects everyone.

This International Women’s Day, we’re reflecting on the theme “Give to Gain.”

Across communities, workplaces, and movements, Black women give so much: knowledge, creativity, care, leadership, and vision.

Through that giving, the world gains:

wisdom, culture, healing, progress, and possibility.

But giving should never require overextension or invisibility.

True progress means ensuring that Black women are not only contributing to society, but also supported, recognised, and able to flourish.

At Bounce Black, we remain committed to creating spaces where Black women — alongside the wider Black community — can thrive in wellbeing, education, and work.

Today we celebrate the brilliance, resilience, and impact of Black women everywhere.

Today we celebrate the brilliance, resilience, and impact of women everywhere, and we honour the strength, creativity, and leadership of Black women across the world.

Black women continue to shape culture, build community, and create pathways for others to thrive, often while navigating systems not built with them in mind.

At Bounce Black, we see that power every day. Today and always, we celebrate the multifaceted brilliance of Black women. ✨

Happy International Women’s Day.

POLICY & THE PEOPLE — Week 8 (Final Post)

For 8 weeks, we’ve broken down the policies shaping Black lives — from education and employment to housing, health, policing, youth mobility, and diaspora policy.

The lesson?

Opportunities, protections, and funding exist.

But most people aren’t told how to access them.

This series was about closing the information gap — and turning policy into leverage.

Huge thanks to Roots Policy Consulting for the research behind this collaboration.

Thank you for engaging, commenting, and sharing.

This is how we turn systems into opportunity! 💪🏾
