Episode 7: Who Did I Have to Be?

In this episode of The Healing Project Podcast: You, Me & We,*Coach Rosa dives into family archetypes — the invisible roles many of us learned to play in our families growing up.

Maybe you were the caretaker, the peacemaker, the overachiever, or the strong one.

These roles helped you survive — but they can also shape how you show up in your adult relationships, your leadership, and your faith walk.

This conversation will help you recognize the role you played in your family of origin and consider who God is calling you to become beyond that role.

Episode 6: Learning to Love Others Well Without Losing Yourself — Rosa’s Story

In this episode of The Healing Project Podcast: You, Me & We,* Coach Rosa Jones** opens up about her personal journey of learning how to love deeply without losing herself in the process.

Through honest reflection, Rosa shares how her upbringing, ministry, and leadership experiences shaped the way she showed up for others — sometimes at the expense of her own peace. She discusses the difference between *serving from overflow* and *serving from exhaustion*, and how God began to teach her the beauty of balance, boundaries, and becoming.

This conversation will challenge and encourage you to care for others from a healed place — not a drained one.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

* Why self-awareness is key to loving others well
* How to recognize when compassion turns into overfunctioning
* What it means to serve from a healthy identity in Christ
* How to set boundaries that honor both God and your purpose

There are moments in life when God starts to make things clear — when what you do and who you*are finally start to align.

For me, it wasn’t a big, dramatic moment — it was quiet.
God began showing me specific areas where He wanted me to grow, lead, and serve.

And as I leaned in, I realized He’d been preparing me for this calling all along.

When you start paying attention, you’ll see His hand in every step — even the ones that didn’t make sense at the time.

Has God given you any specifics about your calling?

Drop it in the comments — I’d love to hear how He’s been speaking to you.”

You are called to be here.

You have a purpose in this life that goes far beyond who you can be for others or to others.

God placed you here for something specific — your life carries divine intention.

In this clip, Coach Rosa reminds us that marriage is most likely not the source of your calling — and that’s okay.

Your purpose comes from God, not your relationship.
Marriage should support that purpose, not silence it.

When both people walk in their callings, the relationship becomes a reflection of God’s design — not a replacement for it.

There are only two reasons to marry someone —
they’re either suitable for your soul or necessary for your purpose.

That’s it.

If they don’t nourish who you are in God or help you walk out what He’s called you to do, you’re not entering a covenant — you’re signing up for confusion.

Marriage isn’t just about compatibility; it’s about calling.

Because when purpose meets partnership, that’s where kingdom alignment happens.

Some relationships ask for more than they should — your peace, your confidence, even your purpose.

But when a relationship starts pulling you away from what God has called you to do, that’s not love… that’s distraction.

The right relationship won’t compete with your calling; it will complement it.

Let’s be honest — marriage without purpose can feel like partnership without direction.

Before you say ‘I do,’ you’ve got to know why you’re here and what God’s called you to do.

Because when you don’t know your calling, you’ll end up defining yourself by the relationship instead of by your Creator.

Marriage isn’t supposed to complete you — it’s supposed to complement what God is already doing in your life.

When you know your purpose, you bring clarity, confidence, and peace into the relationship.

When you don’t, you risk turning connection into confusion.

So no, you don’t have to have it all figured out — but you do need to know Who called you and why you’re saying yes.
