✨ Are you a Black Birthworker looking for a safe space to heal through shared experience? Has doing what you love negatively impacted your mental/emotional health in some way? Are you in need of tools to cope effectively or just an opportunity to connect with someone who gets it?

Let me hold space for you. 💞

Sometimes showing up for others can do more to our mental, emotional and even physical health than we anticipated. That’s why it’s important to check-in with ourselves and make sure we aren’t pouring from a cup that’s just drops away from being empty. 🫂

• In order to meet your needs in the best way possible, I’ve created a brief questionnaire. LINK IN BIO if interested. •

Su***de is preventable, but pain is inevitable ❤️‍🩹
If you’re struggling to the point that you no longer want to live, know that you are not alone and this does not have to be the end of your story.

Sometimes the first step towards healing is knowing that you can be honest with someone that cares enough to ask how you’re feeling. 🫂

As a therapist, I’ve seen firsthand how grief, trauma, low self esteem or even everyday life stressors can cause someone to become suicidal. Although today is , it’s important for those of us who aren’t living with suicidal thoughts to show up for those who do - every day.

Even if you don’t know how to ask the hard questions or hold space for someone who’s hurting so deeply, there is someone out there who does. 🫶🏾

✨✨MARK YOUR CALENDARS✨✨ This is a gentle reminder that we’re almost three weeks away from Black Maternal Health Week (BMHW) and I couldn’t be more excited. Founded by — a national network of maternal health, reproductive justice, and birth justice leaders — BMHW was created with the intention of “building awareness, activism, and community-building to amplify voices, perspectives and lived experiences of Black mamas and birthing people.” As a therapist with experience in perinatal mental health & a trained doula, I know first hand how important it is to promote Black maternal health as a way to help reduce the maternal mortality rate that disproportionately affects Black birthing bodies all around the US. 🤰🏾🫄🏾🤰🏿

This year, I’ll be kicking things off on Friday, April 11th by hosting the first ever Meet & Mingle: a social event for Black mamas & Birthworkers at Midtown Family Wellness in Atlanta.

Saturday, April 12th I’ll be joining Black Mamas Matter Alliance the annual Black Maternal Health Walk & Block Party and would love to see you there!

Sunday, April 13th the fun continues with a private Prenatal Yoga class at Sati Yoga & Wellness designed for those looking for a way to nurture both body & mind at any stage of pregnancy.

Monday, April 14th everything comes full circle as I hold space for any Black mamas in need of some emotional support & connection w/ a free [virtual] Postpartum support group.

I’m excited to connect and do what I can to support you, while also advocating for reproductive justice & collective healing within the Black community. ✨

Stay tuned for more information on how to register for any or all of these events. 💗

✨ Every therapist who genuinely cares about helping their clients do the type of intentional work that leads to growth & healing, has a toolbox. Inside is a variety of resources or “tools” that we can share and/or work through with our clients in session. 🧰

Here are a few of my own that have helped create the space for some much needed introspection; not only for a number of clients, but myself as well. ✨

What are some helpful tools that you use in your own practice? Let me know in the comments below ⬇️ •
