SHC is an organization that helps Georgia Tech students volunteer in various hospitals in the Atlanta area, including Grady Memorial Hospital and Atlanta Medical Center. SHC helps to streamline the volunteer application process and also provides weekly shuttle services to those who cannot provide their own transportation to volunteer. In the 2010-2011 school year alone, SHC members volunteered over 1500 hours of labor to both Grady Memorial Hospital and Atlanta Medical Center!

SHC is partnering with MedShare on Thursday, April 2nd, from 1:00–4:00 PM to support their mission of delivering surplus medical supplies to local low-income clinics and communities in developing countries. We will be setting up carpooling from North Avenue Apartments at 12:30 PM! We only have six slots available, so sign up quick! We hope to see you there!

Join us in volunteering to sort, identify, and package critical medical supplies to directly improve access to care for those in need. Be the reason someone receives the care they deserve! We hope to see you there!
