Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dr. King was an amazing man who gave his life while helping to create a better tomorrow for all humankind. He lived a life of love for humanity, but most importantly for the Lord. He understood that without God, we are destined to continue to live in a world full of hatred.

Today as I read through his notable quotes throughout his life, I see this message throughout his existence. Today it is my hope that everyone follows in his footsteps and accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, living a life of love for all humankind (not just those who agree with us). I believe Dr. King would be most honored by this.

Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22:37-40 (NIV)
