Lets talk colors!

🎨You’re going to see them A LOT in your brand. If you pick some colors on a whim, you risk not feeling connected to your brand early on and wanting a change.

✨Branding is all about feelings. Choose colors that make you feel something and that will resonate with your ideal clients.

📸 This is one of my favorite pictures I have ever taken of the sunrise where I am from in Florida. Sunrise and sunset are my favorite times of day.

🌅 Sunrise signifies a new day, a fresh start and sunset that a day is coming to a close and a new day is on the horizon.

✨Both are full of hope, warmth and beauty. These are just a few feelings that can help you and your brand start to connect with your ideal client.

Want to know how to create a badass branding board?

⚡️Start with a feeling! How do you want to feel when you think of this business?

🌅 Source pictures of what this mood/ vibe looks like in your head. Pinterest is the bomb for this s**t.

⚡️Name it: More feelings! How do you want someone to feel when they read the name?

🖤 I love the word Eureka! It’s cool, hip, eclectic, fun to say.

⚡️Pick some colors:
Feelings overload! Recall how you want other people to feel when they see your brand and pick some colors girl.

🎨Somewhere between 3-5 colors is a good place to start!

⚡️Time to add some depth:
Create a secondary logo and a watermark.

✏️The secondary logo is a little more concise but has similar characteristics as the primary logo!

🦜I like to think of the watermark as a little mascot! Create something unique that will stand out on marketing materials.

⚡️Add elements to tie the brand together: Elements are a story telling piece that help tie the brand together without adding more words.

⚡️Fonts are fun:
Pairing them up can seem intimidating but my rule of thumb is to make one more artistic and the other very simple. The contrast helps it work together

✏️Pick two fonts (I typically add a hand drawn font in just for kicks).

💣Bonus: I like to pick a quote that resonates with the brand. Something I could see hanging on the wall there as an art print!

😎There you have it! Your very own badass branding board! Perserverance my friend!! Seriously. These things take time.

I’m gonna take you guys back to school. This class is called Hashtag Organization: 101 😎

🤓I’ve seen a lot of people talking about hashtags this week and I have spoken to others about it and I know all the different information can make the subject confusing and slightly overwhelming.

✨Without proper organization something as simple as hashtags can feel super time consuming and not worth the effort. I know this because not long ago I felt the same way.

📝Here are my tips for organizing your hashtags and making this process less time consuming. This will require a bit of attention up front but that should save you time in the future.

📲These tips are particularly for iPhone. I imagine there is a similar route on Android but I am speaking from personal experience and I have an iPhone.

⚡️Save all your hashtags sets in a “hashtag” folder in your notes app.

⚡️Set up text replacement on your phone so that you can type in one word and have that entire hashtag set appear. Steps listed above.

⚡️Pick 4 different categories based on things you are posting about on a regular basis. Mine are listed above.

Bonus tips:

⚡️Mix up your hashtag sets when posting because otherwise if you continuously post the same ones Instagram will not push your content and will think it’s spam. (Here is where the four different sets of hashtags come in handy)

⚡️Use smaller hashtags (Under 100k) too big of a hashtag and your post will get lost very quickly and you want to be around for a bit for more people to see your post!

I hope this is helpful and leaves you feeling less overwhelmed and a bit more organized and empowered to use hashtags and expand your reach on your little corner of the internet!

Your life as a business owner can change right now! 😎✨🖤

✨You have a business, check! You have clients! Woohoo! You’ve put some systems in place that are working for you and you have some things that could be improved on. Makes sense!

✨You’ve got a winning personality and a good mindset and you implement boundaries and self care. That’s fantastic!

🤯Somehow, you’re still feeling a bit burnt like toast at the end of the week and you don’t know what’s missing. I’ll tell you what it is...

🖤You’re missing support and connection. You’re a solo business owner and you want someone to connect with you. Remember when you had co-workers?

🖤Being your own boss is amazing but it was still fun to have someone who you could relate to about day to day stuff who actually understood what you were talking about.

😎Hiring the right VA is so important. You want someone who can help you get your tasks done. You want someone who is a quick learner and is detail oriented.

😎You also want someone who you feel connected to. Someone you can trust and who cheers for you and your business. Someone who is empathetic to what you have going on. You want a confidant.

✨I’ve worked with a lot of business owners. I pride myself on being a quick learner, detail oriented and reliable but above all I pride myself on my ability to connect with other business owners. I know what it’s like to be one. Not just from my own experience as one but from 32 years of watching my parents do it day in and day out.

✨I know the struggles you are facing. I am here to help you with tasks but I am also here to help cheer you on and remind you what a badass entrepreneur you are and I take my job doing that very seriously.

✨If you find the person who checks all your boxes including this very crucial box, then sign that contract because even if you teach mindset or you’re the best therapist in your field, we all have days where we need someone to pull us up out of the muck. Hey 👋🏻 I’m Jacquelyn or Jac for short! I opened Empath Admin Services in January of 2020. I started my career in the Hospitality industry and I’ve spent the last 10 years of my career working in Hospitality and Administrative Management roles.

Shifting into working with therapists over the past year has been a really wonderful change of pace for me. I enjoy so much being able to assist people who are truly looking after others.

Mental health is one of the most important issues facing the world today and I want to do anything I can to assist the men and women who are out their doing their best to sit not only with their own trauma but the trauma of other people and to still find ways to care for themselves and to care for those around them.

I know you can do it all, but you don’t have to. You have a lot on your plate and I am here to help ease your mind with the administrative tasks of your business so that you can continue to care for yourself and your clients. If you’re wondering what I am up to and what exactly Empath Admin Services is and who it is focused on helping, I couldn’t have put it more succinctly than this photo. I spent my twenties trying a lot of different jobs. I realized a commonality was that I enjoyed helping business owners run their businesses. I enjoyed helping them be more effective and I enjoyed giving them peace of mind knowing that someone had their back and was doing a job for them the way they needed it to be done.

The next step of the puzzle was trying to niche down to “who” I wanted to help. There are a lot of businesses and a lot of people out there. I grew up with a sister who is now a trauma therapist. A couple of years ago she opened her own practice. I have seen how she pours her heart out for people. I have seen her hold their pain. I have seen her find ways through therapy to take care of herself and her own pain. I saw this through other therapists she is friends with too.

When the pandemic started I had the honor of stepping in to assist her with her business and I was able to do so virtually. I have loved every minute of it. I feel so grateful to have been given that opportunity and am so excited to announce that I am accepting new clients as the managing director of my own business, Empath Admin Services.

Mental health is so important. We don’t talk about it enough. I see what therapists are doing for people everyday and I am honored to play a small role in helping them to feel cared for and like they can turn off the clock at the end of the day and know that someone has their back and is doing the things they need, they way they need them to be done.
