When asked how she navigated the uncertainty of a cancer diagnosis and other major life transitions, Lori Hawkins — cancer thriver, realtor, and host of Dodging Divorce Disasters — shared that her strength came from surrendering control to her faith in God. Reflecting on the fear, overwhelm, and human tendency to try to manage everything on our own, she explained:

“Because it is truly so much easier when you know and have your faith in someone that you know is ultimately in control. Instead of that control being on me because I would mess it up big time.”
