Sometimes I still experience a cognitive dissonance when it comes to knowing the best thing to do, and choosing contrasting, less-thoughtful behavior. All lower inclinations come from fear-based mindsets and old wiring. The way I have been navigating this is through meditation and self-forgiveness. Meditation helps me come back to seeing what is real and true, and pulls me to my most authentic centered nature. Forgiveness allows me to be there for myself in a way that no other person truly can. These two things Work together to feed my real-true self, and not the externally constructed (very much like Frankenstein) self, who has had to be defensive, reactive and afraid. I realize everything is food. What I listen to, what I watch. I’m learning to feed me spirit what will uplift it, and bring me life, and to show compassion for the ways I am learning through contrast. Happy Sunday. •
