August 20 | Entry into Care

This is where his Opülor journey began.

At this stage, his body is still in an acute inflammatory phase. Very swollen, fluid-heavy, and highly reactive. Etching exists, but it is intentionally protected beneath inflammation.

What to note:
Early swelling is expected. Results are not rushed. Our role is to support circulation, reduce congestion, and allow the body to stabilize.

Late August | Stabilization Phase

As days progressed, swelling began to soften and fluid movement improved. Shape started to form beneath the surface, though inflammation was still present.

What to note:
The body is responding to our treatments. We stay consistent, observe patterns, and avoid premature escalation.

This phase is about creating the foundation for long-term results.

By early September, inflammation had reduced enough to clearly assess tissue behavior. Early abdominal definition and etching began to surface as swelling released.

At this point, the body was no longer in protection mode.

🪴Client Journey: Sapphire Recovery Plan (take her exact plan below 👇🏾)

This client came to us as a referral and was an absolute pleasure to care for during her stay in Atlanta.

Before surgery, she began care with us to stimulate her lymphatic system and prepare her body for recovery.
Her first session included Wood Therapy + Sculpt Massage, allowing her to become familiar with our team, experience our level of care and establish Opülor as her “home away from home” before surgery.

Her surgery took place at the end of November, just before Thanksgiving. Prior to her procedure, we thoroughly educated her on:
• What to expect post-op
• How swelling and fluid would progress
• How garments and consistency would impact her results

Upon her return, she transitioned into our Sapphire Plan, receiving Post-Op Manual Lymphatic Drainage with guided consistency.

Every session was intentional. Every step was monitored.

The biggest turning point in her recovery was proper garment fitting. We gradually transitioned her into her Stage 2 Faja. The difference was visible almost overnight with improved shape, smoother contours, and better overall results.

Once her body was ready, we introduced cavitation. Nothing was rushed. Each modality was added at the appropriate stage. From pre-op preparation to post-op recovery and advanced contouring, she was supported every step of the way … from off the table to back on the plane.

If you feel relief right after your massage but feel worse hours later, your body may be asking for an adjustment … not more pressure.

Post-op care should support healing, not re-ignite inflammation every session.

Signs you’re moving in the right direction:
🪴Swelling reduces between sessions
🪴Hard areas gradually soften and become less visible
🪴 Soreness decreases week by week (not resets)

If pain keeps returning stronger after every visit, intensity or frequency may need to change. It’s also advised to re-evaluate your care and schedule a follow-up with your surgeon to discuss whether further assessment such as screening for nerve irritation or damage is needed.

Why KT Tape?

KT Tape gently lifts the skin to:
• Retract the skin for a smoother appearance
• Reduce swelling & water retention

We recommend removing tape with our Tape Removal Spray — gentle on healing skin and available in-spa or shipped right to your door.

When to Start KT Tape After Surgery:
• After drains are removed & incisions are closed

We understand that comfort and compression go hand-in-hand — especially when it comes to your recovery. That’s why we proudly offer same-day Faja alterations every Wednesday from 11AM–2PM, no appointment needed. Just walk in and we will take care of you on the spot.

In this video, we’re working with one of our male clients who received a female Faja after surgery, which is a common issue. Women’s garments are designed differently — from the waist-to-hip ratio to seam placement and support zones — which can make them uncomfortable and restrictive for men.

Thankfully , we were able to tailor his Faja for a better fit while he awaits his custom male Faja being made by our team in Colombia. This ensures he can stay supported, comfortable, and confident throughout his recovery process.
