The best thing I can do as a realtor is give back to my community. In the last few weeks Narcan (drug for reversing an overdose) has been delivered to most all that had replied to my post about giving it away.
R4R is blessed to be supplying to the homeless, any parent that is dealing with a child that is struggling or pretty much anyone who says they need it.
There have been several counties in Ga. that have reached out to me.
I was actually speaking to someone who works with the 911 system the other day, and he told me that he was on a call where there was an unresponsive driver. Two officers were on the scene and neither had Narcan, it took another 5 minutes before the EMS arrived with Narcan. I am still haunted by the thought that whomever it was in that car, could have died, or perhaps was brain dead - all because of a lack of Narcan.
I can’t imagine why some counties are not supplying it, but my mission is to find out what is happening in Ga.
While I lost my son, I will do anything I can to help you keep yours.
Sincerely, Jennifer Hodge
REALTOR® Jennifer Bryant Hodge donated more than 1,000 doses of naloxone, a medicine that saves lives by combatting the effects of an opioid overdose. Her donations went to first responders, community members, and parents of young people suffering from addiction. "Narcan is in short supply. And expensive. People are reaching out to me who are worried about their family members."
Hodge founded the nonprofit Realty4Recovery with her son, Robbie, who later died of an overdose at the age of 23. Realty4Recovery aims to help those who battle addiction.
