Let’s talk cervical checks, friend 👇🏾✨

Because dilation is not the whole story and you deserve the full picture.

When your provider checks your cervix, they’re looking at three things that matter just as much as “how open” you are:

✨ Effacement — how soft + thin your cervix is

✨ Dilation — how open your cervix is

✨ Baby’s station — where baby sits in your pelvis

These three together tell us what your body is actually doing.

Not just a number. Not a prediction. Not a timeline.

Most early labor is all about thinning (effacement), not opening.

Be patient with yourself and don’t stress the numbers, love.
Ask for all the info, breathe, and trust that your body is doing exactly what it knows how to do. 🌸

Save this and share it with a mama who needs to know.

✨ “We didn’t just feel supported during birth — we felt covered after it.”

Postpartum is where real healing begins.

Taylor & Mic’s story is a reminder that every family deserves care that extends beyond the delivery room — meals, rest, guidance, and someone to say, *“You’re doing amazing.”* 💕

Because birth isn’t the finish line — it’s the beginning of a whole new chapter.

And no one should walk it alone. 🌸

If you’re preparing for birth or navigating postpartum, our team would love to walk with you.

Want to open your hips and prepare your body for labor? Let’s talk squats. 🧘🏾‍♀️

Squats:
✨ Strengthen your legs + pelvic floor
✨ Encourage baby’s descent
✨ Improve flexibility and alignment

You don’t need to go deep or do a hundred — small, supported squats each day make a big difference. I recommend 50 a day!

Your body was designed for this. 🌸

“You got pregnant… and then hired a surgeon to walk you through it. 👀”

Let’s talk about why America’s C-section rate is 33% and climbing.

OBs are amazing at what they’re trained to do — manage complications and perform surgery.

But most pregnancies are low-risk and don’t need a surgical approach.

So when healthy moms birth in a system built for emergencies, we see more interventions and more surgeries.

🌍 WHO recommends 10–15% C-section rate.

🇺🇸 U.S. average = 33%. That’s 1 in 3 births ending in surgery — often without medical need.

For normal, healthy pregnancies, consider:

💜 A midwife

💜 A doula

💜 Evidence-based education

Build the right team. Trust your body. Choose wisely. 🌸

Here’s the truth: your hormones are powerful — but they can’t work well in fear. 😌 Each hormone has a role in labor, so let’s talk about Adrenaline!

Adrenaline (your fight-or-flight hormone) and oxytocin (your love hormone) can’t coexist.

That means:

😨 Fear → slows labor.

💗 Peace → supports labor.

That’s why we talk about creating calm birth spaces — worship, soft light, prayer, gentle movement.

When your body feels safe, it opens.

Peace literally makes birth possible. 🌿

This video is heartbreaking but for so many families, it is not surprising.

What you saw wasn’t “a one-off moment.”
It is the reality too many birthing people face: being ignored, dismissed, and mistreated when they’re at their most vulnerable.

And while raising awareness is important, awareness without action keeps us stuck.

We can’t keep seeing these videos and walking into pregnancy with the same plan, the same providers, and the same lack of support — hoping for a different outcome.

You deserve care that listens to you.
Care that honors your voice.
Care that keeps you safe.

That looks like:
✨ Midwifery-led care
✨ Doulas who advocate for you
✨ Childbirth education that prepares you
✨ Birth teams who center compassion, not convenience.

Friend… your life and your birth story matter.

Let’s stop normalizing mistreatment and start making decisions that protect us.

You are worthy of safe, supported, respectful care — always. 💜

Save this message. Share it with someone pregnant. Start building your birth team early.

Let’s clear this up, friends 💕 A single high blood pressure reading does not automatically mean ou have preeclampsia 🙅🏾

There are several steps and signs your provider should look for before making that diagnosis. According to ACOG standards,

Things like:

✅ Consistent high readings 4 hours apart,

✅ Protein in your urine,

✅ Unusual swelling in your body, and

✅ Changes in liver enzymes or platelet count

So before you panic, pause and ask questions. 📋

You deserve clear information, not confusion or fear.

Save this video for later and share it with a mama who needs to hear this today🗣️👏🏾

Disclaimer: Preeclampsia is very serious and should be taken seriously. This reel is not medical advice, but is information to help you better understand the presenting symptoms necessary for a preeclampsia diagnosis according to the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ACOG).

Let’s talk about what’s really happening during a contraction 👶🏾✨

Every contraction has a purpose. Your uterus is simply squeezing your baby down into position, then relaxing to give you both a break.

That’s it. It’s your body working with your baby, not against you. 💪🏾💜

When contractions get closer together, stronger, and last longer, it just means your baby is moving lower and closer to being born.

So next time you feel that wave – breathe, stay grounded, and remind yourself:

My body knows exactly what it’s doing
