🌪️ Since 2020, it feels as though we’ve been living in a whirlwind of chaos and uncertainty. I’ve noticed that more often than not, we communicate with each other from a place of pain and judgment rather than love and understanding.

🌿 Human connection is vital to our emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Yet, it’s easy to get swept up in the turbulence of our emotions and reactions, letting it shift our mindset and how we interact with one another.

At our core, we are loving, kind, and giving beings. We just need to reconnect with that essence. 💛

💡 We’ve seen this truth shine in the wake of recent events, like the response to Hurricane Helene. Neighbors from across the country came together in an overwhelming show of love and support, gathering supplies and delivering aid to those affected in North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

🌍 This outpouring of compassion reminds us of the power of kindness and unity. 🤝💖✨

I invite you to take a moment to reflect on how we are communicating with each other:
👉Are we speaking from a place of love, resisting the pull of fear or the need to defend our egos?
👉Do we respect that each person has their own experiences, which don’t need to align with our own?
👉Are we expressing ourselves with honesty and clarity, while listening with respect and empathy?
👉Are we using emotional intelligence to articulate our feelings and examine our reactions?
👉Can we engage in conversations with openness, listening to understand rather than simply to respond?

Getting creative with employee engagement tactics is something the team at Wellspring loves to do as we know the value it brings to our client partners and to their organizations. Thoughtful engagement leads to employee retention, increased productivity and an infectious culture of gratitude. Just as the virtual workplace has created new normals, maintaining a sustainable wellness program has created many unique opportunities.

The Atlanta Hawks have a winning squad on and off the court and the Wellspring engagement team was excited for the alley-oop. Ripe into the pandemic, the Hawks needed a fresh look for their virtual health and wellness course to incentivize employee participation and the results were a slam dunk.

As one of the largest hospital systems in the US, Broward Health wanted to show appreciation to their thousands of employees who work across different hospitals - some on their feet, some in cubicles, and all feeling the crunch of the pandemic.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After the appreciation kit program we curated for them, they had so much positive feedback they called us again to develop another program, bringing it to a total of 8,500 kits = 8,500 smiles to date.
