POWERFUL DAY OF SERVICE, SISTERHOOD, AND IMPACT: This past Saturday, February 7, we were honored to partner with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated to celebrate an incredible milestone. Together, we successfully assembled and donated 600 Pretty Girl Packs to the Americans Thrive Foundation—each pack created with care, dignity, and intention to uplift women and girls in our communities.

Each Pretty Girl Pack represents dignity, care, and hope—meeting real needs while affirming worth and possibility. This moment reflects the heart of AKA’s 118 years of service and sisterhood, and the shared commitment we hold to creating pathways to stability, confidence, and opportunity.

A heartfelt thank you to and Kina Hudson for your leadership and support, and to every sister, volunteer, and partner who showed up with purpose.

Together, we’re not just giving back—we’re building forward. 💫

2026 WORD OF THE YEAR | INTENTIONALITY:

In 2026, I move with intentionality—in purpose, in partnership, and in impact.

I am is the Founder and Executive Director of Americans Thrive, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit workforce development and training organization established in 2019 to bridge the employment skills gap and create sustainable career pathways for underserved populations, including individuals impacted by the justice system and foster care.

Grounded in a deep commitment to equity, access, and economic mobility, she founded Americans Thrive to ensure individuals are equipped not only with skills, but with the support, opportunity, and alignment required for long-term success.

Under her leadership, Americans Thrive has emerged as the #1 Community Partner and Connector, convening employers, academic institutions, municipalities, and industry leaders across multiple sectors to ensure workforce solutions are employer-aligned, actionable, and impact-driven.

With more than two decades of experience in human resources and workforce strategy, Dr. Simmons Stevenson - Stevenson also serves as the visionary leader of The Lifecycle Network, a Human Resources and Consulting firm she established in 2006. Across both organizations, her leadership is defined by the integration of experiential and exponential learning models, strategic partnerships, and systems-level thinking aligning education, workforce, and industry to deliver measurable outcomes and lasting community impact.

Rooted in intentionality, 2026 represents a deliberate inflection point personally and professionally to scale impact, expand partnership-driven growth, and build sustainable workforce pathways powered by relationships, data, and disciplined ex*****on.

ACADEMIA + COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP IS HOW WE BUILD TOMORROW’S WORKFORCE TODAY

Over the last 10-weeks, I had the privilege of leading an outstanding team of Georgia Tech Community Service Project (CSP) student consultants — a team fully committed to advancing the mission, vision, and impact of Americans Thrive.

This is what happens when academia + innovation + community partnership align with purpose: real solutions, real impact, and real momentum.

These students were not interns. They were junior consultants and emerging leaders who dedicated their time, talent, and abilities to strengthening Americans Thrive - helping us build systems, insights, and strategies that accelerate workforce innovation across our business.

Representing 1st-year, 2nd-year, and 3rd-year talent, each student brought a unique strength to our team, proving that the next generation isn’t preparing to lead someday - they are ready to lead now.

To our Thrive Student Consultants, thank you for pouring your leadership, discipline, and commitment into Americans Thrive. You’ve shown exactly why Georgia’s workforce future is in powerful hands.

Together, we are shaping what’s next.

JUST SHOW-UP: Today, Americans Thrive participated in the City of Atlanta Government Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) Job Fair.

Despite the last-minute invitation, I quickly made plans to attend to ensure our young people receive the information they need to excel in school and their job search.

It was truly inspiring to see the excitement and potential in each of the over 200 youths we connected with.
