If you said youโ€™d do better and didnโ€™tโ€ฆ

Pause for a second.

Feeling bloated or โ€œoffโ€ is not the same as gaining fat.
You didnโ€™t undo your progress in a few days.

You donโ€™t need guilt.
You donโ€™t need punishment.
You donโ€™t need to start over.

You just need to get back to the basics.

Drink some water.
Eat a nourishing meal.
Move your body a little.
Go to bed and try again tomorrow.

Grace first.
Consistency next.

If I didnโ€™t ๐˜ง๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ like exercising, I wouldnโ€™t. โฃ
If I didnโ€™t have the mental energy to meal prep, Iโ€™d skip it. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ โฃ

But this is what you call, โ€˜relying on motivation.โ€™โฃ

I know the emotions can be loud and strong, but you have to remember that if we give in to those momentary feelings ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ญ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ, we wonโ€™t get anywhere. ๐Ÿ˜ฌโฃ

Hereโ€™s what I do to take action anyway, on the days I donโ€™t feel like it: โฃ

โฐ ๐—œ ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐˜ ๐—ฎ ๐˜๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ for a short amount of time while I meal prep (usually 15-20 minutes). Knowing I donโ€™t have to do an activity for too long motivates me to take action. Most of the time I usually keep going with the task even after the timer is done. โฃ

๐ŸŽต ๐—œ ๐—ฝ๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—บ๐˜‚๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฐ while I meal prep or listen to a podcast when I donโ€™t feel like exercising. For some reason this makes the time more bearable ๐Ÿ˜…โฃ

๐Ÿชœ๐—ฌ๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ถ๐˜ ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ธ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ ๐˜๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ธ๐˜€! Go on a walk walk while talking on the phone with a friend. If you have a walking pad, you can watch a tv show while you get some movement in! โฃ

One day you realize peace is louder than noise, consistency beats motivation, and protecting your energy matters more than proving a point.

I lost 30lbs at home in 6 months ๐Ÿก

And I didnโ€™t do anything special.

No fat burners or super low calories needed. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

Hereโ€™s what I did:
โœจI eat within a calorie deficit (www.calculator.net is helpful to figure out your deficit)
โœจ At least 150g of protein daily to stay full between meals
โœจ Lift weights 3-5 days to help maintain muscle and increase metabolism
โœจ 10k steps per day

Donโ€™t forget that perfection isnโ€™t required.
There were many days I ate over my deficit and didnโ€™t eat enough protein.

The key to seeing results is consistency!

For a long time, I had big goals for myselfโ€ฆ but I kept getting in my own way.
Not because I didnโ€™t know what to do โ€” but because I kept letting excuses stop me every single time.

Yes, Iโ€™m a mom of three.
Yes, I work full time.
Yes, my marriage needs time and energy too.
But somewhere along the way, I realized I had put myself on the back burner for so longโ€ฆ I barely recognized the woman I was becoming.

And that hurt.

My journey shifted the moment I understood this:
I didnโ€™t need perfection. I didnโ€™t need huge steps. I just needed to show upโ€ฆ even a little.

Brick by brick.
Choice by choice.
Day by day.
