Bilingual Vietnamese Ophthalmic Technician or Medical assistant
Candidates need to be able to speak fluent Vietnamese and English. The person needs to have excellent interpersonal skills and willing to work hard in a busy Eye Clinic. The candidate will be required to work as a technician taking in patients but may be cross-trained as a receptionist in the future. The office is located near the City of Norcross. Responsibilities for Receptionist:
• Multitasking including checking patients and answering the phones
• Prepare patient’s charts and verify insurance
• Handle all administrative duties promptly
• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
• Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields is a plus
• Familiarity with medical billing procedure is a plus
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities for Ophthalmic Technician: (provide onsite training)
• Familiar with ocular anatomy and essential eye drops interaction
• Taking patient’s records using electronic medical record (EMA) using Modernizing medicine
• Schedule patient by using EHR
• Checking visual acuity and eye pressure with tonopen
• Use autorefractor, OCT, HVF, VEP, A-scan, B-scan, pachymeter, Topography, IOL master, etc.
• Assist surgeries including minor procedures
• Dispense necessary glasses or contact lens fitting
• Crossed training to work as a receptionist as needed
