It really can be simple….

āœ… Wakeup
āœ… Drink water
āœ… Eat a high-protein + high-fiber breakfast

✨These are just a few breakfasts I’ve been eating on repeat. The pears and pecans give me the Fall vibe I’m been craving and I will never not want to dunk PB toast into my coffee like my Grandma JJ did🄹

šŸ‘‰And I’ve really been focusing on the fiber part especially after my colonoscopy. We need to aim for 25-35 grams of fiber a day and most of us aren’t getting that.

šŸ’›It’s okay to do less, when you’re dealing with more.

This quote hit me like a ton of bricks, when my client sent it to me the other day.

As moms, we are always going, going, going — making lists, juggling a million things, rushing through the day just trying to get it all done. Because let’s face it, sometimes we’re the only ones who will get it done, depending on our individual situations.

But can we please start normalizing rest, too?

And I don’t mean ā€œscrolling your phoneā€ kind of rest (we all know that has the opposite effect šŸ˜…).

I mean real rest — lighting a candle and reading a book with your favorite drink, taking a bath, saying no to something you don’t have to do, going to bed earlier, or just lying in the hammock without guilt.

You’re not being lazy. You’re being human.

And just like we’re normalizing getting 30 grams of protein per meal, we need to normalize taking time to recharge.

✨Because the truth is: rest is productive too✨

Start small. Ten minutes of true rest is better than pushing through all day on empty.

And I’ll be honest — I struggle with this too. If I don’t get my long to-do list done, I feel that sense of guilt creep in. But I’m working on changing that… reminding myself that rest isn’t wasted time, it’s what helps me feel like a more powerful, energized version of myself. šŸ’›

The world needs your light, not your exhaustion. šŸŒ™

1999: Flashback to when I did things just for pure fun. šŸ’ƒ This was me in college swing dancing with my best friend, Ashley.

We practiced every Tuesday and even performed at a high school once — it was such a blast!

I look back at that time and think, wow, I miss having a hobby that was just mine.

Sure, I work out most days, eat well, do a face mask here and there, and catch up with friends as much as I can — but remember when we did things simply because they brought us JOY? Not to ā€œstay in shapeā€ or ā€œlook younger,ā€ but just because they made us feel alive?

A few years ago, I was riding horses and taking dance classes again, but like a lot of people right now, we’ve been in more of a survival mode era. With an unstable economy, growing a business and busy family life, those extra-curriculars have been on pause.

When I work with clients, we actually talk about this — adding something back into your life that’s just for pure joy. Whether it’s learning guitar, taking a paint class, or taking that hip hop class…will be completely worth it when the time is right and will fill you up like no other.

But sometimes, it’s not the right time to add in anything major — and that’s okay too. In certain seasons, just prioritizing sleep, peace, or a little breathing room is more than enough. That is self-care. ā¤ļø

I know this is just a phase of life — right now I’m soaking up my kids’ activities and wouldn’t trade it for the world.

But I’m also excited for the day when I can do something again that’s purely for me, no end goal attached— just FUN!!!😊

✨I want an easier, smoother week with less stress and chaos! How about you?? ✨

šŸ‘‰Meal Prep doesn’t have to be complicated or take all day.

šŸ’–Sometimes I do a ton, sometimes just a little—sometimes NOTHING and I always regret it…but even 5 small things can make my week feel so much easier, and that’s what I really, really want šŸ˜†

This week I prepped: chickpea blondie muffins, hard-boiled eggs, sliced bell peppers, chopped melon, and washed blueberries.

That’s it!

Having a few healthy, ready-to-go options on hand makes meals, snacks, and mornings feel way less stressful.

šŸ’–This week I decided to pay it forward and buy the order for the person behind me at Starbucks, because someone had done the same for me in Sept! 🄹🄹

It was such a small thing, but honestly—it made my whole day and I wish I could keep going and surprise everyone like thisšŸ’›

We clearly need more kindness in the world right now, and it can be something as simple and affordable as this.

šŸ“£PSA: If you have dense breasts or are high risk for breast cancer, demand an MRI as part of your breast exam! Your insurance could cover it, just like mine did!!

Our health case system is a mess, but remember, we’re the CEO of our own health and we need demand more!
