Germs and fertilizer sound like things we wouldn’t want to touch but metaphorically (and in reality) they have their place in our growth. Similarly, we may try to avoid the feelings that aren’t pleasant but we need those too! When things are crappy, look at what’s under all of it and work to address that while you grow in the process. The journey includes all of it but it’s necessary for growth. # resilience

Decisions, decisions.. There’s a reason I ensure my children know chess and the Rubik’s cube. For decisions, chess comes into play. Barring a decision that is illegal or unethical, decisions really aren’t “right” or “wrong”. They may just lead to the experiences that become at meaningful part of your journey. Don’t be afraid! Make a decision.

This is actually a request from my cousin and it centers around folks who think they know what your timeline should be to heal through life’s challenges. See the comments to hear her perspective. My opinion? Most people who care for us are well intended but not necessarily in tune to what you need. It’s up to you to articulate that and set boundaries to keep you connected yet protected while you’re going through and healing.

Peachtree number 28 is in the books and it was a blast! 💥 What a surprise to see our interview with the on the front page with a follow up and photo! How humbling is that??

This tradition is something we hope to do forever and it’s all Emily Perez Alexander has known her entire life. Thanks to Avery and Kaeo for an awesome day and to Nia for the pool and hangout time!
