What should I do to prepare for a massage?
1. Hydrate: Drink water before your session but not too much so you're not uncomfortable. This helps muscles respond better to the massage.
2. Turn off distractions: give yourself permission to disconnect to better respond to the massage.
3. Listen to calming music on your way to the your appointment to put you in the right mindset for the massage.

Why do I need a massage?

1. Massage boosts body awareness: It helps you connect with signals your body is telling you before they become bigger problems
2. Massage can help retrain your brain's pain map: It can reeducate your nervous system to stop overreacting to pain signals, which is huge for chronic pain clients
3. Massage releases the physical and neurological patterns stored within fascia: Fascia holds onto patterns from stress, posture, and injury. Massage can help tissues forget restriction.
