There’s something about the energy of the big game that gets me every time.
For a few hours, people with different opinions, histories, and even off-the-field tension sit in the same room and cheer. Inside the stadium or in your living room, time softens. The to-do list pauses. The nervous system settles. We enter the same moment together.
It’s not really about the score. Sometimes it’s not even about the teams.
It’s about presence.
And here’s the part I love most: we don’t need a championship to access that energy.
We can choose it.
We can notice when we’re overstimulated. When the world feels loud. When we’re stuck in our heads. And we can gather our people for dinner, a game night, a fire pit, drinks on the porch and decide to be here.
Never underestimate the healing power of community.
Yes, people can feel like a lot. Relationships are layered. But collective intention shifts the field. When we agree, even silently, to enjoy, to connect, to let each other be… our nervous systems co-regulate. Shoulders drop. Breath deepens. Laughter comes easier.
For a moment, problems feel smaller because we’re participating in something shared.
So soak in the big game energy.
Cheer.
Be present.
Let it unfold.
And remember you can create that field anytime.
Gather.
Play.
Let yourself be in the experience.
That’s medicine.
